Elrod Animal Clinic

My boyfriend, Mike, took my cat to Dr. Elrod's yesterday. He was supposed to be neutered and get his shots. When Mike gets there with Roo, they tell them that Roo is there to get his shots and be de-clawed in the front. Mike told them he is not supposed to be de-clawed, he is supposed to get his shots and be neutered. Dr. Elrod and his assistant did not listen. This morning Mike picked up Roo. He got his shots, was neutered and they de-clawed him. Instead of $95, it was $170. They told Mike that he could not take Roo home unless he paid $170. I wanted my cat to be able to go outside after he is healed. Now I will not. I will NEVER take any animal to Dr. Elrod's again! more

I don't really know what kind of vet Dr. Elrod is. I've never used him. But I did have to go to his office. Someone had stolen my dog and taken him there. Well I went to get the info from the vet so I could get my dog back, and he wouldn't give it to me. I paid $2000. for my english bulldog. I have the papers and everything and he still wouldn't give me any info or help me get my dog back. That is not the kind of treatment I expected to get. more

Dr.Elrod is where I've been taking all of my animals. He is older but so very wise. He cares as much as you do for your furry friends. We had a chihuahua at one time a few years ago, she ended up with parvo (she was about 6 months old) and almost died, he told me how much it would cost to keep her there to get round the clock care and medicine at the hospital, I told him that we could not afford that, so he told me to buy this medicine (for parvo) from him, hold and talk to her all the time. He said that she had parvo real bad, but that she had the same chance of getting through it at home as she did at the hospital, maybe even a better chance at home as she would be with all of us who loved her so much. So we took her and her medicine home and within about a week she was back to normal, we took her back and all the parvo was gone!.(just to have her run over a month later and died). We take our cat, Cali for her shots and he even spaded her. He is a really good vet. Affordable prices (cheapest around for spading and nutering). I highly recommend. more
