I successfully managed to lock myself out of my car when I was in a rush going to work the other morning. That being the first time I ever needed a locksmith I had no idea who to call. A neighbor suggested I call Elmhurst Security & Key because they done such a good job helping her. Sure enough they did a great job for me as well. I saw this locksmith fixing a buzzer on my friend's shop, so I enquired about a system for my shop. The locksmith was very friendly he explained that he can come over right after,I just have to call the Elmhurst Security & key and let the dispatcher know I needed a job. I needed my locks changed. They were very honest and up front with us from the start. Plus they gave us a big discount for giving them other business in the area. They started the work on a Saturday, and finished all four locations on the same day. I was impressed with the speed and the care taken in their work. I would recommend them to anyone in the future. "Just to show how their service is" I broke my key the very next day on Sunday in one of my office doors. Tonight I stupidly tossed my keys into my trunk along with my luggage when I got to my car after a flight home. Argh! I called Elmhurst Security & Key and they were there quickly, the tech was super friendly and efficient, and got my door open and I was able to pop my trunk and find my keys. What a great and trustworthy personElmhurst Security & Key is! The fees were the lowest around! Service charge was 1lowest locksmith I called of 5. This guy was top notch on service and rates! I had all the locks on my house made to use one key. Sure beats buying 12 new locks and handles from home depot (i have 6 doors with two locks on each). He was on time to my house and was done much sooner than I had expected! I want you to know I did my research on prices and that’s how I made my decision on Elmhurst Security & Key. I feel like I hit the lottery on professionalism and honesty. You know the saying you get what you paid for, well NOT TRUE, he's worth double what he charges! I want to tell you not to waste your time calling around but if you’re like me you will, and you will realize you wasted your time and energy and should have just called Elmhurst Security & Key after reading this. Our toddler locked our bathroom door from the outside...no emergency, but we needed to have the door opened and the lock replaced. We stopped in Elmhurst Security & Key and spoke with the nice folks there. They gave us our options and, within 1 hour a locksmith came by the house, quickly and efficiently solved that problem as well as another with our front door handle. He was great, the price was very reasonable and they have a customer for life! more

I needed four doors rekeyed and an electronic lock on a gate repaired. The locksmith came out the next day and quickly rekeyed the four locks. He had to take the electronic lock back to the shop to repair it but promptly returned about an hour later and installed the newly repaired lock. The price was great and the locksmith was both friendly and had a no-nonsense attitude. Very satisfied with the level of service and the price. more

After moving into our new house, I chose Elmhurst Security & Key to rekey all the locks. The locksmith came out right on time, he was quick, efficient, informative, and polite. The numbnut who worked on the house before we moved in used two different kinds of locks for the top and bottom locks on all the doors and we only had keys for the tops. The Elmhurst dude changed all the bottom locks but the type of deadbolts that were installed weren't ones that Elmhurst could rekey, so he recommended that we buy new ones from Home Depot and bring them into their shop where he could rekey them from there and then install the deadbolts ourselves. He showed us exactly how to do it and if we ran into trouble, they could come out and do it for us but it would cost us a service fee so he recommended we do them ourselves and then repeated the easy steps. I didn't do any price comparisons for this service, as I felt the trustworthiness of the locksmith was worth more than a couple of saved dollars, but I definitely don't feel ripped off. They were honest and even taught us a few things to save us money. I would definitely use them again! more

Since moving to this city nine months ago, I've been locked out of my apartment no fewer than four times, so I think you'll trust my expertise when I say that Elmhurst Security & Keys are the absolute best.
