The Little Grocer That Could 5/18/2006

The little grocer that could competes with Butera, Jewel, Dominicks etc.. and still hold there own. OK no jokes about a grocer holding their own please. (lol) Even though they have a good deli that even has hot prepared foods I usually pick up "odds and ends" as they say from this store. It is usually not crowded so I will run in sometimes for a few things I need. I should probably pick up more things from their deli, maybe after writing this I will. One of the things that there are lines for is the Lottery. I think they have had a number of winners from here. Lucky store, huh! Has anyone out there won any lottery winnings ever? more

This little grocery store does have alot to offer. The produce section is not that great, but the deli is pretty good and they are able to pack alot of canned goods and dry good items inside.They should teach their cashiers a little more about customer relations in my opinion. They sell alot of lottery tickets here and have had more winners than your average store. They take out full page ads in the Nadig Press advertising their weekly sales. more

A nice neighborhood grocery store! 9/23/2005

Elliott's is located at 4800 N. Nagle Ave. in Harwood Heights, IL.This a smaller sized grocery store that has everything you need.They have a deli with a huge assortment of lunchmeats and cheeses.They make great fried chicken, grilled chicken, and fries.I also love their sirloin ground beef.It is very lean and delicious.They also have dairy products, paper products,fresh vegetables, fresh fruits, bread, chips, pop, etc. The thing you love the most at this store is not waiting a long time at the checkout. more

Great Deli 7/30/2005

This place is like a tiny supermarket. They have a variety of produce and food products scattered on its shelf. They have a frozen foods section but it's their deli that steals the shows. They have a wide variety of meats and sausages but they also have freshly prepared dishes. They have to die for potato wedges and watch out on St. Patrick's Day! Your name will probably have to be put on a list if you expect to get some corned beef - it's excellent. more
