Loving and Caring stable with great lessons! 12/7/2009

Gretta the instructor loves her animals and her clients! The stables are clean and well maintained, staff is down to earth and friendly and lessons are great! My two daughters fell in love with Gretta and the horses and we had a fantastic experience- would definately recommend to others! Pros: down to earth staff and pleasant riding experience more

best lessons 12/6/2009

My daughter has been doing lessons at Elliott Stables for about 3 months. She loves the horses and has learned a lot. Its not just how to ride a horse but also the care of horses. She gets to ride different horses, so she is always learning new things. The barn and stalls are very clean. The staff is wonderful, friendly and help full. I'm glad I chose Elliott Stables for my dauthers lessons. more

I've boarded at this stable over the winter months for about the past 10 years. I can sleep at night knowing my horses are taken care of and they are with people who actually care about them. I am a self sufficient rider and have all the equipment, but have taken lessons to get back to the basics. I like hearing the truth about what I need to work on and how to work on a specific problem with my horse or my riding. I don't like barn chatter - if you want to gossip, go somewhere else. If you want a nice safe, clean evironment for your horse and want to progress your riding, my experience is that you can get it here. Great Place 12/6/2009

Ellliot Stables offers a clean and safe enviornment to stable horses. They have a comprehensive lesson program that offers comprehensive training to all levels from beginners to advance. The facility has a good turnout area and trails that are located close by. I have been taking lessons with them for over a year and have boarded a horse at this stable. It is an excellent location and great care facility. Indoor arena is also a plus! Pros: Clean Stalls, Great Care, Great Lesson Program more

Dont Do it 6/6/2007

This facility is not a good one. It has inadequate management and a substandard lesson program. I felt that the instructor damaged my childs ability to become self-confident and gain better self-esteem. The riding instructor has no formal training as an instructor (or teacher) to support her lesson plans. I strongly suggest asking for adult references for the boarding, training, and lessons plans. I would not recommend this facility or it's managers to anyone, for any type of equine matter. Pros: good parking Cons: everything else more

Not what they advertised 6/6/2007

This is not a saddlebred barn by any means! The owner may have been in the past, but seems to have lost his interest/love for horses. Their lesson program is basic to say the least, no way to ever advance. The best thing they had to offer at this stable were clean stalls!! I wouldn't recommend unless you are completely independent and need no assistance with your horses. Glad to be gone! Elliott stables Rules 6/4/2007

Hi I have been riding at Elliott Stables for over 4 years now. The barn is clean and neat and all the horses are very well taken care of and loved by owners and students alike. There is a large riding arena, wash rack, and heated bathroom. Gretta is a great teacher and has helped me work through several issues. Never pushes you to much and lets you work at you own speed. The lessson horses are well behaved and each one teaches you somthing. They do not just follow each other around in a circle. You learn everything from getting your horse out, tacking up, and being safe around horses. The number one rule is be SAFE. Anyone looking to take riding lessons should check out Elliott Sables. very clean,large indoor arena and indoor bathroom. Lessons and training offered by qualified instructor and trainer. Been at the same location for close to 12 years.Well run,friendly and organized. Not your typical chaotic facility. Barn specializes mostly in lessons and training. Not a large facility so boarders can enjoy a bit more privacy. Turnout is managed according to weather and mares and geldings kept separated. Lots of trails across the street. Pros: friendly qualified management, clean,indoor arena,trails,good care Cons: not good for those who really just need their own property. there are rules as in any boarding facility. more

Okay for experienced horse owners, not good for training or if you want to learn competitive riding 3/12/2007

Management, i.e., trainers and instructors are not as experienced as they would lead you to believe. Facility is very limited in terms of areas to ride: one large indoor arena, one bullpen. You cannot bring in your own trainer or instructor, even if you prefer a different discipline. Pros: Young novice rider lessons, clean facility Cons: Riding area, turnout, training, competitive riding lessons more
