Best Burger in a Long Time! 4/5/2008

I read about this place here on city search and traveled an hour to try it out... it was worth the travel. I ordered the BBQ burger and it was perfect! It was so juicy! The flavor was unique due to the house BBQ sauce and the wheat bun it was placed on. Make sure to get extra napkins as this burger is a messy but desirable experience. I also had to order the orange cinnamon creme brulee. It was fabulous! The custard was smooth and creamy and perfect, and the lightly caramelized top was infused with cinnamon and orange that was to die for. The portion was very generous and was able to be shared with another diner with no longing for more, even though I would have gladly taken more if offered! All in all, I was left with a smile, the service was prompt and attentive, I was completely content and relaxed when I left not desiring anymore food then what was offered (I didn't need to pop into the local ice cream shop after words to fill a sweet tooth). It is advertised as being family friendly, but the bar is half the first floor and right by the door, so kids are exposed from the git go. more

Great Food, Great Beer... what more can you want? 3/7/2008

With Great Beer and food to match, there isn't much more you can want from a local Brewpub! I'm a frequent visitor of Elliot Bay Pub, and I love it. It's low key, comfortable and their food and drink is consistently delicious. It's kid-friendly and the high-backed booths make for a comfortable dinner for a part of 4 or less. I definately recommend their ruben sandwich! Delicious! Thank you EBP!!! Pros: Beer Selection, Food, Service Cons: Parking more

Consistently great food and service 12/17/2007

I have been to the Elliot Bay Brewery and Pub 4 times in the last month. My wife and I have just moved to West Seattle, and we have been thoroughly impressed with the food and service. It is remarkable when anyone can deliver perfect food and service consistently, and it appears after 4 visits, Elliot Bay is able to do just that. The service is genuinely friendly when you walk in, and the service has remained to be attentive and friendly, either while sitting at the bar or at a table. This last week, I tried the Chicken Cordon Bleu, and wow!!! This is a pub...and even the veggies and pasta as the side items were hot and very flavorful. The chicken was perfect. The entire staff is very engaged with the customers, and obviously that is another reason why they are always busy. Keep up the great job. Pros: diverse menu, great food and service Cons: parking more

Philly Cheap steak & crapcake sandwich 3/28/2007

Went to the establishment on a weekend in March of 2007. We were "greeted" by a moody bartender, and had an overpriced beer, a Philly "cheese" steak sandwich, and a crabcake sandwich. I expected more from the food we ordered. My Philly was fairly salty, and was topped with some sort of cheaper american cheese, which gave it a "funny" taste. Is the provolone that much more on a sandwich they charged $10 bucks for? The crabcake sandwich had many "other" ingredients, and needed more crab in my opinion, and the frozen fries just didn't make it..... (cheap and easy I'm sure) sorry.... more attention needed to REAL food on this menu.... felt like someone shopped at Costco frozen food, and made the menu. The profit margin must great. We both kept "burpping" the crabcakes. Pros: establishment interior is low key, and somewhat inviting. Cons: below average food, pricey beer. more

Great service and food - fun for groups and visitors to West Seattle 9/27/2006

Love the food and the raspberry cider. Service is great - seating is usually prompt and this is a fun place to bring friends from out of town. Always have a great time at Elliott's! Pros: Food, fun, lots of tables Cons: Parking is scarce on California and no reservations more

Finally, someone in Seattle gets it right! 3/27/2006

Thanks for the tip, Citysearch. Per your reviews, we tried out Elliott Bay for dinner last night and were absolutely satisfied. The food was PERFECT, the beer was great, the service was fantastic, the music (80's) was appropriate, and the dessert was a great finishing touch. We went with high expectations and left with an even higher degree of respect. Thanks again, Elliott Bay. We'll definitely be back. Pros: everything Cons: not, one, thing more

One of West Seattle's best 6/17/2005

Just went for the first time last night and my only regret is that I waited this long to check it out! Great service, food, and beer. I can't wait to go back. Pros: Great food, beer, service more

Average Food, Good for Kids 6/10/2005

This is a good place to go with kids. We took our 4 month-old and the noise of the pub drowned out his exuberant screeching which is a good thing! The food was fairly average. The ahi tuna sandwich was more medium than medium-rare as indicated on the menu. We tried the blended Luna Weizen and Framboise Lambic which is a good summer beer. We don't live close by so probably won't go back any time soon but I would hang out there every now and again if I lived locally. Pros: Good Beer, Kid-Friendly Cons: Average Food more

BREW PUB 1/6/2005

This place is the greatest! The food is beyond compare for "pub grub", the beer is wonderful and the service is awesome. It is 100% smoke free, which is a huge plus. Definitely my favorite hang out in West Seattle! Keep up the great work guys! Pros: yummy food, smoke free, yummy beer more

Home With a Giant Beer Barrel 6/17/2004

The great thing about the Elliott Bay Brew Pub is that not only is the food outstanding, the service quite good (most times), and the beer assortment always new and exciting (guest beers and house brews both shine)... the best thing is that it's a great place to be comfortable. You can talk, you can read, you can go alone, you can bring friends, you can bring business acquaintances. They try new things menu-wise, but you can just get a burger and... well, the fries are the best undiscovered food in the Seattle area. Pros: Atmosphere, Food, Beer more

What's brewing in West Seattle? 1/14/2003

This brewpub brews up some great beer. They always have a "special" brew on tap and are very concerned about quality. There food is also always top-notch for pub grub. My only complaint is the setting. It's so boring! It's like all you want to do is go in, order, drink, and leave. It's a cool, old building--exposed brick walls, funky art, high wood ceilings; but for some reason it's just not right. Rearrange something EBB! Mix it up a little or somethin'. Turn down the lights. But anyway, the food and brew alone make it worth going to. Pros: good brew, good beer Cons: ambience is boring more

Best Burgers! 1/3/2003

Take it from a burger lover. You'll find the best burgers in town here. Their ground beef is superb as is their sauce. Burger is not too dry, nor is it too greasy. Not greasy at all, in fact. It's just right! Pros: Easy street parking, Friendly service more

Good brew beer at Elliott Bay 10/19/2002

The best pub food around and a great place to go and eat with kids. The owner must have kids off his own... the waitstaff seems to like all the kids. The also brew there own beer. Try the Luna!!! more

The BEST pub food EVER 5/19/2002

  • In Short
This lively brewpub on California Avenue has a broad audience: It's kid-accessible so families can enjoy dinner, while those simply in search of a drink can head upstairs to the balcony or hunker down at the bar. The menu features typical pub grub: burgers and sandwiches. The place makes several versions of its beer on the premises and offers a small selection of wines and other beer on tap, including a rare raspberry lambic.
