Eli gave us an excellent service at a very reasonable price. He was also very accommodating to our needs such as coming for an estimate on a saturday afternoon and starting his job the next day (Sunday). He finished the job even earlier than he promised. He was always a few minutes ahead of our appointments. He was also in contact with his customer and reported the progress at the end of the day. Eli knew exactly what he needed to do (submitting his insurance to management company and setting up a work schedule with them, etc...). Eli and his crew are very reliable and honest. I almost learned the hard way how difficult it is to find a reliable, HONEST painter in NYC. Prior to me finding Eli on Citysearch, I had another painter in for a quote who seemed dishonest from the moment I met him. He looked at my place and quickly threw out an absurd price to paint without explaining the costs involved. Once we finally agreed on a much lower price, I got the run-around when it came time for him to present his insurance information. That's when I went searching for another painter. I came across Eli's Painting on Citysearch and every review was very positive. After speaking on the phone, Eli came over to look at my 2 bedroom condo. I felt comfortable right from the start as he gave me a VERY reasonable quote and broke down all costs involved. He even saved me money on the paint I chose! I decided to go with him and it was the best decision I made. He provided all insurance paperwork to my building and got started right away. Eli is a true PROFESSIONAL. He takes pride in his work and is a perfectionist. He taped up my entire condo (ceiling and border) and can cut a line better than anyone I have seen! The job took roughly 3 days between him and 1 other worker and it came out immaculate. I actually worked from home during this time period and thoroughly enjoyed our conversations. I used Eli to paint our one bedroom apt. Our apartment walls were in terrible shape due to previous owner and needed alot of prep work. Eli and his team did an excellent job on our our walls they look great. We also asked him to do additional work (plastering) and it ended up being a much bigger job than originally expected. Eli did a great job and would call with updates. I think he gave us a very fair price and his customer service skills are top notch. I will recommend him to anyone who needs a painter. more

Eli was fantastic to deal with. From beginning to end he was always there to respond to emails, phone calls, extremely reliable and trustworthy. Best of all, my apartment walls look great! I can't wait for my friends and family to come over to my apartment now because of Eli- my walls look new! I had found out about Eli from Citysearch and he also painted another woman's apartment in my apartment building. Eli took less than two working days to paint my one bedroom apartment. He and another painter worked while I was at work and they left the windows open so that by the time I got home each day, I could sleep in my room and go about my business as usual! Eli bought all the paint supplies including the actual paint, and at the end, he gave me the receipts. It was so nice that he had taken care of all the leg work. On top of Eli's professional manner, he was very friendly and went above and beyond. One of my dressers was falling apart and he took it on himself to fix it, without me even asking! Eli is a great person to leave your walls, your home to look beautiful, fresh, clean and brand new! He was recommended to me by a friend two months ago and I also checked him on the Citysearch before hiring him for my two bedroom apartment after getting estimates from three other contractors at the same time. And I wanted the job done while I was away for the holidays. Not only did I find my apartment in top shape with all the walls and doors painted as we planned the colors and details, he also gave me a call to check certain things with me and assured me that everything was going as planned. When I came back I was so impressed that not only I wrote the check with a huge smile on my face, but made a promise to myself to make sure that I would recommend him at anytime highly. So here it is. He is honest, professional, a delightful person to deal and trust your home with and the most important thing is ""what he promises he delivers"" with such an energy that radiates through his work. I called Eli's Painting after I read their reviews on Citysearch. Eli came to my Manhattan apartment and measured every wall that had to be painted. He then gave me a written estimate, which some other painters did not do. I hired him because he appeared trustworthy and his price was quite reaonable. I heard lots of horror stories about painters and renovators in Manhattan, so I was very hesitant and skeptical when I needed someone for my new apartment. First thing that pleased me was Eli's warmth and cheerfulness. He was punctual and then very efficient. I was very happy with Eli's attitude and his work was really impressive...he is really a professional and has very versatile skills. One of our projects was to put up a wall to split the living room to make another sleeping room. The wall is BEAUTIFUL...I mean, I have an extra room! His work was really above and beyond what I had imagined would turn out. Eli's work is very precise and neat. I was also initially worried about the mess that would be involved in a paint job...Eli is not only respectful of his clients and their time, but also of the space that he is working in. Basically, it was a smooth and stress-free process for me. I recommend Eli with confidence and genuine enthusiasm :) more

Reliable service. He gave me a very reasonable estimate for a one bedroom apartment. I thought he was cheap and the work was not going to turn out good. I am a very demanding and picky customer. I usually end up fighting with most of the service providers because they don't do what they promise to do and end up charging more. When I used Eli's paintins service, I was totally happy with the job that was done for the first time. They listened to what I really wanted and they finished the job on time, which was very importnt for me. They are very reasonably priced and reliable as well as very detail oriented. I would highly recomed Eli's Painting to everybody. more
