I'm 21 and I've never gotten a massage...seems like a sin now that I have joined Elements. My first time I was a bit nervous, but the team at Elements made me feel right at home and comfortable. My first therapist was Wilson...and he was fantastic! He communicated with me throughout the session and made sure that I was comfortable and at ease. since i have been a member of elements, i have tried several of their massage therapists. Some of been excellent...others have been very good. very important to know if you want deep tissue or just want to relax. each specialist has their own specialty. the physical environment is extremely relaxing....great wave machines in the rooms...makes you feel like you are floating on the ocean. becoming a member forces you into giving yourself some time every month to just relax and rejuvenate. in this crazy world, that one hour a month is priceless! karen lewis more

I highly recommend Elements. I was used to awesome massages at another much smaller place that closed so I was skeptical when I saw that this was a chain. However, I have been pleasantly more than satisfied with the massages that I receive...especially by Cheryl who is terrific at asking good questions and then tailoring the massage to meet my needs. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful and the overall professionalism of the place is top notch! The only slight negative is when there is talking in the hallway area but even that has gotten better lately. A great place to relax and unwind! more

i have been going to elements in west newton for a few years now and i must say i have never had a bad experience......i have seen nicole the most i think and she is great...but every other therapist i have tried has been wonderful. I've been a member at Elements for about a year. I've tried multiple therapists and have been happy with the majority of the massages I've received. The one massage I wasn't too happy with was from a therapist who is no longer with Elements. I routinely go for massages monthly (if I'm lucky, twice a month) and I find the staff professional, helpful and very friendly. Highly recommend trying them out, especially if they are having one a new client special....that's what brought me in and now I'm hooked! more

I've been receiving massages for 20+ years. I love deep tissue. When we moved back into the area it took me 3 years before I found a therapists that I liked - but it was expensive ($120/hr) and 20 minutes away. Then Elements opened up. Finally, a great place that I can walk to at a very reasonable price! In the past at other places I would only like 1 person for my massage. Here there are many. The people at the desk can help you decide who would be right for you. I've never been disappointed. more

I've been a member at Elements for over a year now. It's amazing to me that with so many therapists, I've had such a consistently positive experience. While I certainly have my favorites, I don't think twice about making an appointment with someone I haven't had before ... everyone seems open to feedback and to providing the best and most customized experience possible. I have had 2 massages with different therapists at Elements. The first one was not very good but the staff gave me a free upgrade as a compensation and were very nice. The second was pretty good but I didn't find it as relaxing as I might have liked and didn't feel that the therapist could intuitively figure out what I needed in the way I have experienced with other massages. However it is very comfortable and pleasant and I plan to go try another masseuse. more

I love Elements Massage in W. Newton. Prior to joining, I tried other chain massage locations only to have horrible experience. the best massages are usually the very, very pricey ones you can only get in downtown Boston. I was quite pleased when I first tried Elements. My massage therapist was Fantastic and I joined the monthly wellness program. I love the daily emails about open appointments, the friendly staff, the calm setting. the staff is so friendly they will feed the meter for you if you are having an 80 minute massage and are parked at a one hour meter. I love that I know that I have at least 1 massage treat just for ME each month. I'm finally taking care of me and not just the kids and it feels good! more

I never actually got to Elements. This review is about their gift card policy and customer service. I received a gift card for a 55 minute massage at the Elements Massage studio in South Weymouth awhile back. I never seemed to get around to using the gift card and didn't really worry about it since well it's a gift card and they don't expire. Well this week I've been having muscle aches in my back so I thought, what a great time to use the gift card. I call the weymouth location and eventually find out that that location has closed. No big deal, I look at the website and find that the next closest location to me in West Newton. So I call and the girl on the phone tells me that they will not honor my gift card because it is only valid at the South Weymouth location. Well that's fine and all but it doesn't exist so that's going to be pretty hard to do. I then call another location in Stoneham. The girl on the phone tells me that it is their policy to not take gift cards from other locations and that they now have two kinds of gift cards, ones that are valid at all locations across the US and ones that are only good at specific locations. Again, helpful information but I currently own a gift card that is only valid at a closed location. She tells me that she will call her owner to see what she can do and call me back, she never calls. I called the corporate office and spoke to a man named Kyle who was pretty rude on the phone and basically said "it is what it is". I'm not asking for anything for free or extra. I just want my 55 minute massage that was already paid for. I understand that these are franchises but so are Dunkin Donuts and you can use their gift cards anywhere. This is a nation wide franchise. And it's not a $500 gift card, its a 55 minute massage. Seems very sad that they would rather lose a future customer and have a bad reputation than just honor a 55 minute massage. It just seems like the right thing to do to me. I just feel like I'm being ripped off or more specifically, the person who already spent the money on the gift card has been ripped off. It almost feels like beign robbed since someone gave money and got nothing in return. more

I have tried Chain massage places before and have always been turned off by the customer service side of things. This was not the case here. I was welcomed and given all the information I needed while feeling NO pressure to join. Now the other side of things was the massage itself. Stacy gave me the best massage I have ever had hands down. The location is very convient and kept in excellent condition. I hope that you consider Elements for your massage needs! more

I've always felt massages/facials as staples for the rich and spoiled. Unfortunately, the stress and tension in my shoulders and back were effecting my body so badly I was not able to sleep. I had to change my mind, I had the most AMAZING experience at Elements today and walked out as a member of the Wellness Program to sign up for a monthly massage. At only $59 for a 55 minute massage, it was too good a deal to pass up. My therapist was Paul, who not only did an amazing job on the existing knots in my shoulders and back, but also managed to find knots in places I didn't know you could have knots such as your calves and hips. Extremely professional and knowledgeable, he was great! This isn't just a treat but a necessity. more

Not only is Elements a fantastic business approach to providing theraputic massage affordably, they have some really talented therapists there. Their top rated "deep tissue" therapist is Lakish, and she will kneed and pound the aches away like you were one of those squishy stress balls you keep on your desk....you have to be able to stand this kind of "torture" for your 55 minute (or 75 min) massage session, but you will definitely walk out without your former pains. I have a very physical job, plus am an avid cyclist and runner (when not in too much pain to do so), and Lakish fixed me right up. The other therapists are very good too, but no one comes near her strength& technique, and you can see she delights in taking on your most painful areas and tearing them down. She's also very funny and says it like it is. Plus the staff is quite accomodating - one time i got stuck in traffic and did have to cancel last minute and they gave me " a get out of jail free" pass and didn't charge me according to the policy of charging for no-shows/last minute cancels. more

There is a really great selection of therapists to work with here, depending on your preference of styles (and I've never had a bad one yet!). Augusti does incredible myofacial work and Paul is terrific if you are looking for more sports therapy rigger point massage to address chronic issues. Atmosphere is relaxing and simple and always easy to deal with. Not anything like a lot of the McMassage chains that are popping up everywhere. more
