Elegant Bride

This experience was polar opposite to all of the 5 star reviews out there. I'm sorry to say, I don't believe my appointment was an anomaly. The woman helping me was direct in an unhelpful way. It seemed like she was feeding me nonsense and bad advice every step of the way. The appointment was shocking after the wonderful treatment I experienced at the two previous stores I visited. more

I definitely saw the good reviews before scheduling my appointment with Elegant Bride, but I actually had the worst experience ever there. I had a morning appointment with Wendy's Bridal and found a dress I liked, but wanted to wait to make a decision until after my appointment with Elegant Bride. My consultant (the owner) was running 15 minutes late which was ok with me because I wanted to look around. As soon as she got to me, she would not listen to a word I was saying about my style and only pulled dresses she liked. I like honest/direct people, but not when they are overpowering my opinion about the way I want to look on my wedding day. I typically wear size 6-8 in dresses, but Elegant Bride really only seemed to have size 4 and so it was hard to picture myself in a dress that wouldn't zip up. I obviously felt a little uncomfortable not fitting in the dresses and to make me feel MUCH worse, the owner said, ""You need to stop eating McDonalds and drinking coke.""-- RUDE!!! Other bridal stores have the full upper-body undergarment and slip to slim you down when putting on wedding dresses (what you would wear on your actual wedding day), but Elegant Bride does not have that... you have to try on with whatever bra/underwear you wear there. The owner was also rushing me even though she was 15 minutes late... she then ended our appointment 10 minutes early to meet with her next one. My time with her was only about 35 minutes when other bridal shops (Wendy's and Alfred Angelo) spent 2 hours each with me. Also on this day I went to Alfred Angelo's and had a GREAT experience there with a very personable consultant. In the end though, they did not have my style of dress that I was looking for. I went back to Wendy's Bridal at the end of the day and made my purchase there. My original consultant got me right back in, listened to me and never once made a comment about my weight (because I'm not actually overweight). I would not recommend Elegant Bride AT ALL... but try it for yourself! more

I can't say enough good things about Elegant Bride and the store owner, Waffa (sp). She was just great - she cares about each customer, takes time with each customer, and wants to make sure you're happy. I didn't know what I wanted, but she asked some basic questions and then pulled some suggestions. She put them in order with her favorite being last and that was the dress I went with! My mom and I both really enjoyed her. She has a strong personality and she tells you what she thinks - I like that. Some people might not like that. It's worth making it a stop when looking at dresses. We had a great experience there! more

Wafaa was a great bridal consultant; she helped pick an amazing bridal gown. Other salons didn't bother that I was on a deadline; but she was very helpful although I bought my gown only a month before the big day!!! Thank you thank you thank you You're great;) Pros: They spend enough time with each bride Cons: Nothing more

I am so happy that I found my dress here. The customer service was great !!! They really work with you to make sure your happy. For example I had a particualr style in mind for my wedding dress, when I went into the store I described what I wanted, the store owner took one look at me and said ,that style would not be right for you .She showed me a few dresses and I found my dress on the second try. They know about style and how a dress is going to look on you based on your body type. My dress was gorgeous and so was my vail. This store is high quality. more
