This man does not and will not see anyone who does not agree with leaving a minor unattended in a waiting room while parent is being seen regardless of how severe the patient is in pain. There is a sign outside the door that says children are not allowed in the ""examine"" room which is understandable for safety reasons. However there is lodging right outside examine room door and he does not allow children to sit there while being seen but an adult spouse or friend can. Parents are not at ease with leaving in my case my 4 year old unattended amongst strangers and doors are never locked. I will be switching doctors due to\r The way I was treated more

The receptionist and the nurse practitioner were very friendly. I was a new patient here and so I scheduled an appointment. I wasn't seen until 1.5 hours later, on a Monday during the day. I had a toddler with me, which I feel I entertained quite well for 1.5 hours. The doctor came out a few times, but didn't smile or say a word, even though we were the only ones in the office. Instead, when my toddler decided to lay on the floor for no more than 10 seconds (this is after an hour of waiting and entertaining my toddler), the doctor says, ""you really shouldn't let him lay on the floor,"" to which I simply smile and he says, ""no really."" Like I'm an idiot mother that doesn't know it's not a good idea for her child to be on the floor of a doctor office. Doesn't say anything else. Not friendly, not concerned about the wait, and certainly not understanding of the circumstances. I'm happy to have gotten my prescription from the nurse practitioner, because I don't know what I would have said to the doctor. I won't be returning, that's for sure. more

Dr. El-Amir was my childhood Dr and our family physician. He was almost like a father to me and my sisters. He asked about our grades in and school and genuinely cared about my family. more

TERRIBLE terrible TERRIBLE!!!!!!! 10/10/2011

Save your time and do not come here. I would have given this '0 stars' but it required me to put at least one. One star is too generous. I had a terrible experience at this office. They were unprofessional, texting on their phones at the front desk while I waited to be helped, the clinic is gross, it looks like a free clinic, and they DO NOT call you with test results. GET THIS- they make you come back in and PAY to see the doctor again just to give you the results. I have called in numerous times and The person on the other line is RUDE, impatient, inconsiderate and frankly needs some customer service skills. This was a HUGE waste of time and money. I would HIGHLY suggest going else where if you need to see a doctor. I sure learned my lesson. This clinic is a JOKE. more

Wait until Eternity 9/11/2008

Dr. El-Amir is a very nice doctor but the wait time in his office is forever. It should NOT be called Immediate Care. The office is mostly first come first serve walk in and believe me, you will be waiting 3 hours to be seen. I have witnessed people come in for appointments and wait hours and then get irate and leave. Plus, they make you fill out the same paperwork EVERYTIME you come in there regarding your insurance information. I think they eat it behind that glass but it is so annoying. They lose everything and once they take you in the back don't think you are going to be seen right away, you're going to wait some more. By the way I waited almost 2 months for the office to get me an authorization to have testing which is totally RIDICULOUS. Something even more serious could've resulted from waiting so long. Pros: friendly doctor Cons: wait time, losing paperwork, dirty carpet in the office, waiting 2 months for authorizations, office staff not helpful, no appointments everything is walkin, appointments not honored more

always crowded 10/3/2007

Dr. El Amir is usually pleasant, unless theres an insurance problem. Then he's growling and can be downright mean. You wait long hours to see a doctor in his office. I always try to come late around 7:30. You also have to ask a lot of questions. Don't let him belittle your problem. Pros: does many tests/bloodwork in his office Cons: long wait more

This doctor is hands down the best doctor you can find anywhere, and trust me I've looked around 8/29/2006

Dr El-Amir saved father from dying when two other doctors told him there was nothing wrong. Turns out, he had a brain tumor that Dr. El-Amir discovered. If I didn't find this Doctor, I don't know what I would do. Pros: Great staff, nice reception area, and a top doctor Cons: ? more
