El Torito Mexican Grill

The food at E.T.G. is abundant, fresh and elegantly served. A chicken enchilada, for example, has large chunks of chicken breast - not some mush of undetermined meat fibers. This is typical of the attitude of the kitchen and staff - to please the customer by giving the best value possible. I hope this restaurant is successful and stays at this location for a long time. It's the only place of it's category in the Encino/Sherman Oaks area. Also, for those who like Casa Vega in Studio City, this is a big, big step up from C.V.. Surprisingly, the prices appear to me to be substantially lower at E.T.G. than Casa Vega across the board! E.T.G is a great food value overall. more

We love El torito grill in beverly hills, we have been going there for years. When they opened up one in sherman oaks where we live we thought this is great. We went there at least a dozen times ordering our favorite dishes over a six month period. The food didn't tast the same, the service was really bad on a regular basis.Guess what we went back to El torito in Beverly hills and we where shocked on how good the service and food is every time we go back. We can drive to Beverly hills and eat at El torito and drive home in much less time than if we eat local in the sherman oaks El torito. We love El torito grill just not the one in sherman oaks. When we offered our advice to the manager on improving his restaurant service he appoligized and offered us a free meal. We said you don't understand we will never eat in this restuarant again. This was pretty good, they had some terrific soups, but I would still rather eat at the regular El Torito. This location has some beautiful booths, though. I came with a large group and we ate at the large round tented off table right by the entrance. more

I have lunch here probably twice a week. I love it here. Their chicken enchiladas, salads and margaritas are the BEST. The service is fast, food is soo good and is well priced. El Torito Grill is also a great for a group or for a date. Their specials are ok. The best food is on the menu. more

I would rather go eat at El Torito. This place has the worse service ever. I have been to all the top notch restaurants in the Los Angeles area, and this is by far the worst ever. The hosts just sat us where ever and he never asked if the seating was okay. The restaurant was practically empty. My drink had a fly in it and when the waiter was told, he didn't think it was a big deal- Ehhh, gross!! The bill was brought half way through our meal as if we were done.
