Great food, decent margaritas, good prices

the waiter was distant, and we got the impression the entire meal that we were interrupting him. being that we weren't that hungry, and had never eaten there before, we apologize...

Bad service 3/19/2012

While the food is ok the service is seriously lacking at times. During the last visit our dinner was cut short. One of the owners asked us to leave ASAP to make space for other customers. This seems to be a common occurrence. Because of this we forgot a jacket on the chair. When we called back we were told there was no jacket. I went in to ask the owner to check once more and was met with a defensive attitude bordering on straight up belligerent. This is too bad, as the second owner was much more pleasant. We will not return here. more

El Toreador Great Service 8/6/2006

I have eaten here before and after their restaurant make-over. Both times, the staff has been so gracious, accommodating and seem to make all patrons feel important. The food is also great. They offer one mean vegetarian chimichanga. Do give this place a try. Parking can be tough, but worth the hassle. Aside from Agua Verde in U-district, this is by far my favorite Mexican restaurant (Cactus does come a close 2nd). :) more

But my clothes reek after eating there. 5/19/2006

I, too, like the food at El Toreador but my clothing and those of my family smell so strongly of the food after eating there that one must launder everything, coats included. This has caused us to stop going there. more

My favorite Mexican restaurant 11/29/2005

My favorite Mexican restaurant in Seattle area as of Nov 2005. I highly recommend for a casual dinner. My favorites are Carne Asada and Carne Con Crema. more

Great Mexican Restaurant...in Redmond 10/3/2005

I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't been there myself....MANY times. I really enjoy the quality of food here. It's stayed the same the past 6 years as have the prices. The staff is friendly and the place doesn't look like much, but they just did a remodel to make it a bit brighter. If you find yourself in Redmond, and want a sit down Mexican meal, I highly suggest it. Your wallet will thank you as well. Two people can get out of there for under $20 with tip (no alcohol). On a side note, they are pretty vegetarian friendly as well. more
