Great Pollo Tiras! 12/23/2008

I went to this place last week and tried the dinner special. It knocked my socks off! It was a chicken dish with a chipotle cream sauce created from their cheese dip. It was out of this world! Will definitely be eating it again. more

Excellent Lunch 4/17/2006

This is a great mexican restaurant to visit on a lunch break. the food is fantatsic, but it is usually served pretty quickly so if you work in the area and oly can get away for an hour you should be able to have a nice lunch and still make it back to work on time. When you do go outside of work hours they have some excellent mixed drinks and drink specials on occasion. more

Great Food 4/17/2006

The El Rodeo sells some great mexican food, sold by actual mexicans. it may sound petty, btu I really seem to prefer mexican food that is authenic. The el rodeo sells authentic food in an authentic type of setting. The food here is not terrible expensive, and the service is always fantastic. For my birthday we had these nachos with chocolate and shipped cream, absolutly fantastic. more

Great lunch spot! 9/1/2005

This is one of my favorite places to go for lunch. I have never had to wait for a table no matter how crowded it is. However, sometimes I have had trouble finding a place to park! I love the fact that you get chips and salsa immediately. The food comes really fast. It really couldn't get much faster, unless it was fast food. The portions are just right for lunch and cheap! I spend almost as much at Wendy's. more

Great Bang for your Buck! 8/12/2005

The food here is not only rather inexpensive, it is really tasty too! You can smell the authenticity when you walk through the doors. The staff does not always speak fluent English, however they do know their Mexican food! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants homestyle Mexican! more

Great food, fast service 8/10/2005

El Rodeo is our favorite Mexican restaurant in Raleigh. Their food is excellent and the service is very quick. If you are in a hurry or just really hungry, then this is the place for you. They offer a wide variety of dishes. Everything I’ve tried has been fantastic. The margaritas are also HIGHLY recommended. Muy bueno! more

Great food, not so bad place 8/6/2005

The food is great! Almost anything you order off of the menu is great, which includes even low cost side dishs. Plus the food is REALLY filling so you never leave hungry. The building it self is not in good condition, but then again almost no mexican Restaurant in town is really in excellent condition. Its a great place to go with the family and it is not very expensive, so try it if you ever want mexican for dinner. more

Nice family place 8/2/2005

Good margaritas, reasonable selection of dishes. Pretty much your standard Mexican restaurant with combination plates but also have a number of specials of the house that are worth trying. The layout is interesting, with a bar that is located on a raised second level in the center of the restaurant. Very family friendly, and the wait staff is very conscientious and responsive. Even when there is a crowd of people waiting for tables, the wait is rarely more than 10-15 minutes. more
