My husband and I wanted to try some thing new, and decided on El Rancho Grande. This was by far the worst restaurant I have ever eaten at. The prices were VERY high for the quality and taste. I, myself, ordered 1 boneless pork chop and a side of pasta $10.00, my husband ordered a half order of gnocci (potato pasta) $8.00 and 1/4 pepperoni bread (I forgot the price of this). Drinks were 2.00 a peice i think, and NO refills. The bread was good but nothing special....the best part of our meal. The pasta was edible, but the sauce was not great....and even though our waitress made a big deal out of the ""meatball sauce"" it arrived with only one meatball. My porkchop arrived with a small side of spaghetti. The porkchop although ordered boneless, came with a full ""T"" and no spices or seasoning. it was dry and tough, so much so that I could barely cut it with a knife. The spaghetti on the side was over cooked, and in a very bland tomato sauce that tasted like a discount brand ragu. Besides the awful food, the service was poor. Our waitress was not at all helpful when we asked questions about the dishes. I will NEVER reccomend this restaurant to anyone.
Pros: fairly quiet, near downtown shopping
Cons: horrible food, limited parking, poor service, high prices
