El Maguey

I have tried other El Maguey restaurants, but I think this is the best one I have found. The food service was quick and the food was terrific. My teenage son swears by the steak nachos and I had the Chimichanga. Large food portions and the restaurant was very clean. more

I have tried El Maguey in various towns and not been a huge fan. However, the El Maguey in Oak Grove is great. They have a fairly large restaurant and the parking lot is always full, even on some week nights. I think they offer a real taste of the food from Mexico. They do have some more Americanized options though. The white cheese dip looks very runny, but the taste is amazing. The roasted chicken with tortillas and peppers and onions is very good. My husband enjoys the chimichangas. The margaritas here are a favorite. They are plentiful and so good. Be prepared to have a designated driver that isn't drinking them. They are strong! The service is over the top and everyone is very friendly. Great prices are found here too. more
