Good quality; strange omissions -- the only way to order chips was as a lunch side, at dinner? Only black beans, not pintos or refried pintos. But the fried plantains were excellent. more

Disappointing. When I ordered, the delivery time estimate was an hour, then as soon as I ordered, the delivery time jumped up to over 2 hours. Paid almost $50 for 2 entrees and an appetizer. When the food arrived, it was lukewarm, small portions, and didn't taste fabulous--not a whole lot of flavor. I still give it a couple of stars, because the ingredients were good quality, but I will not order again or eat there in the future. more

The food was not bad, unfortunately they got 2 of the 4 orders wrong. After calling and letting them know they did reimburse me for the 2 that were wrong. Would I order from them again?possibly. more

Food was great. Guacamole fresh and chunky. Beef tender and cooked perfectly. Beans tasty. Packaged in recyclable boxes. Delivery was not straightforward. The delivery person arrived 20 minutes earlier than the earliest estimated time and then called to report "I'm here" and then hung up. Minutes passed. Did the delivery person expect me to go outside to get the food? I don't know. I put on some shoes and went out onto my porch to look around. Then I went back inside and got a coat. Finally, the delivery person came to my door as I was heading out a second time to look around. more

Fish taco inedible. Chips old oil. Ordered guacamole which came with chips according to web. When came to door, they wanted extra money. Chile relleno and shrimp burrito good. more

Awesome! An extremely good deal for the quality of the food. My new favorite Mexican place in Oakland. I liked the three salsas they included and the big bag of chips. I love El Gusano! more
