El Cholo

I would definitely recommend going to El Cholo for dinner tonight . It has great food and a beautiful Mexican style environment. El Cholo is not my absolute favorite Mexican restaurant, but it is good, especially some items on the menu more then others. It is a fun restaurant to go to, and I'm sure it'll be worth your time and money. more

Okay, there are some terrific items at this place and other items that will make you never want to return to this restaurant, so be careful what you order. Most people I know either love this place or hate it. From my experiences ordering the strange things there, I would almost say hate it...BUT I was fortunate enough to order the good things so I am a fan. They tend to make their (Mexican) food with things like carrots, peas, etc included in the item. Not good. Its strange and not what you are expecting. But if you like normal super yummy Mexican food...get the shrimp (or any other) fajitas~can't go wrong! Also the chimichangas are delicious. Chips and salsa are great, of course as are their margaritas. Just make sure to pay close attention to what you are ordering and read to see what strange ingredients they may be including! Service is usually very good. Nice environment also. more

This is the first place I had mexican food. Love their fajitas. mmmmm more

El Cholo is a landmark in La Habra. The restaurant is located in a convient locale on Whittier blvd. The restaurant is casual, and busy. They are probably more famous for their bar and happy hour. With sports playing on numerous t.v.'s and drink specials, this is great for happy hour. But, it's not so great if you come here for the food. While the food is "okay", there really isn't anything special to it. At moderate pricing, this is a true disappointment. If you are eating out to get GREAT mexican food, skip this restaurant. more
