Out looking for some Mexican food, and I remembered that I used to eat at this location more than twenty years ago and the food was pretty good. It still is. It's not the most authentic Mexican food on the planet, but for the price of the weekday, afternoon buffet, it's a pretty good place to get some grub. The spread is extensive and has the usual accompaniments of refried beans and rice, but they go the extra mile with real sour cream and very well prepared guacamole, as well as a bunch of different salsa?s. They have many standard entrees such as beef tacos, tostada?s, chili rellenos, sopas, enchiladas, fajitas, etc. They have a very good salad bar, and they have more deserts than you can imagine. The staff is friendly and efficient. The plus is that a server helps you select your dishes, so a bunch of hands are not in the food, and they are generous with the portions. Hungry for economical Mexican food-- this is the place to go.\r
Pros: Good lunch place.
Cons: Sylmar, CA
