I'm a very big fan of Mexican food and I'm also very picky, but El Cactus in Fountainville is the best Mexican food I've ever had. The staff is excellent, the prices are affordable, and the portions are very generous. I would definitely recommend this wonderful restaurant for those who love truly authentic Mexican cuisine . El Cactus is exactly what Im looking for when I am in the mood for mexican food. I initially didnt like mexican food, but after dining at El Cactus, I love it. The service was great, and the menu is fantastic. By now, ive had almost everything on it, and I cant say there was anything I didnt like. The Mexican Relleno is my favorite, but everything is so good! Complimentary chips and salsa, and a full bar also add to the restaurants appeal. The small staff makes you feel like it really is a ""family restaurant,"" especially when they recognize you when you walk through the door. All in all, this is the best Mexican food ive ever had, at a price that cant be beat! Pros: Everything! Cons: The bar can get a bit drafty in the winter. more

I went to out to eat at El Cactus a couple Fridays ago with my girlfriend, Amanda, and I cannot stop thinking about it! I had a burrito that my tastebuds wouldn't believe. I don't know what kind of cheese they put in those puppies, but man, it's not like anything I've ever tasted. And the pico! Holy moley! I could eat that stuff straight, that is if the homemade chips weren't as equally fantastic! I would go back to the kitchen and personally congradulate the chefs for having the best food around, but from the tastes of it, they probably don't speak English! The food is truely authentic, plus, every member of the staff is totally cute! But don't tell my girlfriend I said that! It was surprising that the place wasn't too bustling. Unfortunately, El Cactus seems to be Bucks County's best kept secret. I'm telling all my friends about this place, and I suggest you do the same!! The El Cactus in Fountainville is such a wonderful mexican restaurant. I never had such a margarita like this. It the perfect mix!! A lot of mexican restaurants use a margarita mix. Not this place. Every margarita is made individually. The owner came over to introduce himself and we had to inform him about his margaritas. Also, the food is made fresh daily, you can tell. We also told him this is as closed to west coast mexican food as possible. We are orginally from the west coast. How do you do it? The owner informed us that his Chef(a woman) if from pueblo, mexico.
