Being a local, I think we're more critical of the businesses in our area. We go to (or went to as of yesterday) el Burro Loco at least twice weekly. It's not so much the food that's an issue, it's the extremely terrible service. I mean terrible, horrible service. It's slow, the waitstaff is rude and airheaded; people who come in 20 minutes after you will be fed before you are; and they will take forever just to acknowledge you once you arrive. The service has become even worse since they opened the cantina. Dinner is a long, arduous process, and the staff is always rushed and full of excuses as to why you can't get a refill on your water while you're waiting forever for your food, and why it's taking so long to just get you a refill on your salsa and chips because you're dying of hunger waiting for the ktichen to produce food that is made up of all the same ingredients in different configurations. It's mexican food, for Christs's sake, not gourmet.
Pros: Decent specials, good carnitas, warmly decorated
Cons: Terrible service, slow kitchen, unattentive waitstaff
