The rooms were very clean and the grounds were beautiful. Cheaper than surrounding hotels and still has a pool and hot tub! I would definitely stay there again. Pros: Clean,...

Stay away from the pool 2/25/2010

We love the Bonita - but make sure you stay in a room along the back - not overlooking the pool. The rooms overlooking the pool are about 100 years old, drafty and cold. The rooms in the back have beautiful views, comfy beds and amazing jacuzzi tubs. more

Nice little hotel 10/7/2008

We stayed at the El Bonita Motel while traveling through Napa on a wine tasting trip. It was nice to stay in a local hotel and not a chain. The hotel was nice and had a good breakfast, as well as a computer to use which was very convenient. They also had some good coupons to use at local wineries for tastings. more

Adorable, clean place! 5/28/2008

Clean, comfy ""budget"" accomodations 11/10/2006

We spent one night at El Bonito Motel (note it is Bonito, not Bonita) and were happy with the experience. We had been looking to stay in St. Helena as cheaply as possible and El Bonito offered the best rate - $178 on a Thursday night in November. Our room had 2 queen beds, a small fridge, a microwave, a coffee maker, and a hairdryer. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot and strong, and the room was very clean. The hotel also has a pool, a sauna, and breakfast, but we did not partake in any of those offerings. The only negative is that it is not in the center of town and cabs are very hard to come by (there is one cab company and we phoned them several times over the course of 1.5 hours and they never picked up). We wound up walking to town, which only took about 15 or 20 minutes, but it was quite a chilly night and we hadn't packed the right clothes. But the bottom line is that if you would like to spend time in Napa and not break the bank, El Bonito is a good no-frills solution. We would stay there again. Pros: Clean and comfortable Cons: Not in ""downtown"" St. Helena, so requires walking or driving to town more

  • In Short
El Bonita is for those who plan to spend more time exploring Napa Valley than hanging out in their rooms. The motel sits on two-and-a-half acres of nicely manicured grounds and...
