Ekta is one of the better Indian places in the city. Most Indian restaurants tend to have more North Indian food, but Ekta has quite a few south Indian dishes. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Chettinad, Ekta Kabob, and Garlic Nan. I ordered it 5 minutes before closing, but they came pretty quickly and still hot (Their delivery radius is really quite impressive.)
The kabob was very nicely charred and came with the fixins of onion, lemon, and peppers. Both the lamb and chicken were a coconut/cream based curry with a fairly mild flavor. The whole meal came with green chutney, lime pickle, 2 sweet mango chutneys, a tiny cup of raita, rice, and 2 servings of kheer (a sweet tapioca-like dessert).
Overall, it was a very good meal, but it is the same quality as Tiffin. I haven't tried the Vindaloo yet, but I suppose that's my ultimate test. I also thought it was a tad pricey, especially since the delivery guy couldn't figure out how to get into my building despite being given clear directions.
Pros: delivery range, food, portions
Cons: a little too much cream in the food
