Don't Come Here! 3/27/2012

My husband and I dined at Egyptian Pizza in Owings Mills with another couple last week. We had been here before and I had a pretty bad lamb meal but decided to try this place again and ordered pizzas instead. The 2 pizzas we got were okay for the most part, except for the under-cooked broccoli on one of them and what tasted like imitation shrimp on the other but the SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE! The restaurant only had a few other diners in it but the waitress didn't bring our drink order for over 25 minutes. We then didn't see the waitress for over an hour. I was so thirsty (I'm also 8.5 months pregnant) that I sent my husband to find our waitress to get us water. The other couple was also pregnant. The waitress finally came to our table (20 minutes later) and acted annoyed as she set down a pitcher of water. We didn't see her again until we had to ASK for our check. \r GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! There is a reason that this place is empty every time we were there. We will never be back.\r more

Great bargain!! 5/2/2008

Tired of pizza and burgers? If you're looking for a place where you can get tasty food for a great price, this is your place.\r \r I come here all the time with my family and we all love it. My kids - who are 3 and 5 - love it too because they get their own pita bread to dip in hummus or babaghanoush which they think is fun, even though it gets messy.\r \r It is usually quiet, but not too quiet that you would be afraid to bring young children.\r \r My favorites... Al Pacino pizza, any of the kabobs, mid-east platter\r \r The only drawbacks are the lack of ambience, no beer or wine, and the desserts are not worth trying. If you want dessert, head down the street to Cold Stone Creamery. Pros: Good food, great prices Cons: Not much ambience more

Very good and fresh food 1/29/2008

My co-workers and I eat lunch here at least once a week. The food is always fresh and well prepared. The pizza are unique and I recommend that you try them. The only problem is that it can get crowded at peak times. A great place for lunch or dinner. Pros: great food and great service more

Not a bad meal on the menu! 7/25/2007

Egyptian Pizza was a recommendation as my roommate and I were new to the area. They boast excellent pizza in addition to their incredible Mediterranean fare. You should not be weary ordering anything you've never tried from this menu! Everything is delicious - and big portions for the entrees. Best recommendation for appetizer is the Mediterranean Combination platter - gives you a chance to try all of their Mediterranean finger food goodies including dolmades, hummus, falafel, and more. They are extremely accomodating to your tastes or preferences. For example, for those unable to eat dairy - they actually offer SOY CHEESE on their pizzas (which tastes just the same, meaning they chose good quality Soy products). Also I don't eat pasta, so they gladly traded the pasta in their delicious pasta and veggie entree for basmati rice. The best pizza on the menu that I've tried has got to be the Giza - featuring Mozzarella and feta cheeses, marinated flank of lamb, fresh dill, cilantro and parsley, black olives, roasted red bell peppers, served with spicy cumin sauce on the side. Again, don't be afraid to try everything on this menu -- and don't forget to bring your favorite bottle of wine or 6 pack of beer! They have a BYOB policy, and they'll even keep it cold for you! \r When you go- be sure to ask for Helen because she's a sweetheart! Pros: Menu, Price, Ambience, Parking Cons: one problem once with a slow waitress... more

Worst Customer Service 7/1/2007

Pesto Pasta - penne was overcooked, pesto sauce was sour, owner was rude and argued with me over the sauce and penne being bad. I've been going there for several years, it seems that the service has gone down. The owner was so rude. Pros: Nothing Cons: Poor Customer Service, Not Listening to the Customer more

Dude...IT's the BEST 10/15/2002

Egyptian Pizza's Margherita Pizza is the best in the WORLD. Using the old fashione Egyptian style brick oven cooking, it is ranked high on my list. Pros: Taste, Speedy, Environment Cons: Scenery more

Egypt? They have pizza in Egypt? 7/22/2002

The florentine pizza here is incredible! Also, try the foul (pronounced Fa-oool). It is irresistible! Keep in mind there are about 50 different types of pizza on the menu, so make sure you choose carefully - there's one out there for everyone! more
