When you need gardening help this is the only place in town to go. The staff at Tanners Creek Garden Center is very knowledgable and honest. I needed some insect spray for my tree because something started eating the leaves. Instead of pressuring me into the most expensive thing on the shelf they told me to wait until spring. I would be wasting my money because the leaves on my tree would be gone in another two weeks and the upcoming frost would eliminate the insects anyway.Honesty is a refreshing concept these days.The quality and prices of their plants cant be beat. If that doesnt convince you to go see them then you've got to talk to their new manager Tom. He has like 30 years of experience in gardening and is a HUGE wealth of knowledge. more

We called Tanners on a Saturday to confirm they had bulk mulch, they did, although they couldn't give us a price due to a computer that was going to be down for 10 minutes we decided to still go to Tanners because they support Eggleston. So we traveled from Suffolk to go get our mulch, passing a few garden centers along the way. We go tot Tanners only to then be told the operator of the mulch loading equipment wasn't there and wouldn't be back until Tuesday! Hint to Tanners: If someone calls about bulk mulch and you tell them you have it, LET THE CALLER KNOW THAT YOU DON'T HAVE ANYONE TO OPERATE THE MACHINERY TO LOAD THE MULCH! more
