I am not from the Greenfield area and I was on my way to the Kanai Funeral Home on a terribly cold and snowy night. I tried to reach family by cell phone that was already there but they could not hear their phones. I had a google map i was reading and it had the phone number of the funeral home so I called and asked for directions. I was talked to so rudely by the person who answered. He told me he had no idea where I was or what I was talking about and he lived in the area for ten years and had no clue where I was. I saw a Greenfield Rd and he told me I needed Greenfield Dr. That, wasn't where I needed to be. I later found out we were right down the street. I mentioned we were near Frick and Schenley Parks and still he had no idea. How can you live there 10 yrs and not know where you are??? Also the family told me while they were saying their good-byes the lights were turned out on them! The family also felt they were treated rudely and after the amount paid to the funeral home there should have been at least common courteousy! I would not recommend this funeral home especially in that particular time of need! more

The Edward P. Kanai Funeral, which is located in the heart of the Greenfield Community, is a fine and well-to-do establishment that has been serving families for decades. Personally, I have had family and friends pass on, and the Funeral Home always does such an excellent job, with managing the preparation of the deceased loved ones to comforting the families who walk through the doors. Mr. Kanai, the owner of this organization, is a genuine, one of a kind man, and I would recommend anyone to use the servies of that man in their time of need more
