I have to be completely honest with this review. I met this gentleman after an Internet search at his office on 12/16/14. I had a reasonably large rollover sum I needed to accomplish into an IRA that was being terminated. I had only till 12/21 to accomplish the movement of these funds. I signed all necessary papers at the EJ office on 12/16 and was assured that the account would be opened and the money transferred within "" a few days, usually no more than 3 days"". I was promised good local service and attention to detail. I was comfortable when I left. \r

Several days passed with no word on completion. The holiday passed ... Still no communication from this Advisor. I finally called on 12/28 only to be transferred to the office assistant. She informed me that they needed permission from the original IRA plan to discuss any details regarding my account. I told her that this should have been discovered on the day the request was made or at the least the next day. She became annoyed and very condescending and stated to me that they had ""thier ways"" of doing business. \r

Here's the short story... Eight business days passed and they didn't even verify the receipt of the original fax request as received. As a result my transaction completely failed, my money was transferred into an account not of my own choosing and there was NO follow up by this office at all. Kevin, the principal apologized and asked me to ""trust him"". How is that possible when they can't even verify a fax and follow up on an important deadline? Needless to say the complete lack of communication!\r

I cancelled my account here and will not do business with Edward Jones. This is a poor example of customer service and due diligence!!\r
BEWARE!!!!!
