I've visited this establishment after moving into the neighborhood and wanted to plant "New Money" somewhere safe. This was a very BAD experience for me because I didn't have anyione to help me and the money was just sitting at home under a rug in the form of a cashier check. However, my oldest son was leaving for college in about a year and the other two years, and I was not working and my husband made a low salary. These are factors that a good F/A would take into consideration. However, this F/A advised me to bring 50K, then I could save on fees by bringing in another 60k, which I did, only to find out she is the one that made money on those deposits, When I wrote a complaint and went to visit, she became defensive and would not let me speak. Before I went in a guy from a law firm search her background and found that she had only been an advisor for two years (at that time) and work at home depot prior to that. I deposited 115k, but when I withdrew only got back 74K. I took that to "Chuck" where they ask me many questions and decided I needed to just leave the money safe until my health was better and I could return to work. Im not sure if they made any money from that but I didn't loose any money and several years latter I found out that was the best advice a F/A could give me and next time go with a fiancial planner instead of advisor because they are well trained after their education.
