Edgewood Country Club

The management is very poor and very poor customer service. They are very unorganized and overwhelmed when they have to host a party.... I doubt they can keep their doors open for much longer and will more than likely join Churchill Country Club in their demise... It's a shame, beautiful place. more

I will have to say that I disagree with the last comment. I had my wedding at Edgewood last year and now I am helping one of my friends plan her wedding at Edgewood. I have had no problems with pricing at all. Dennis Adamek and Rebecca Abaray were and have been extremely accommodating with both weddings. The Ballroom is beautiful with an outdoor porch that overlooks the Golf Course. Many of the guests at my wedding spent time out on the porch. My wedding pictures were so beautiful. It's just a beautiful setting all together. According to our guests, the food was great. I did not eat much because I had 350 people to mingle with. One of the banquet servers, Claire, was so nice and helped me with everything that day. They even gave our bridal party a separate room to ""retreat to"" as necessary. We had so much fun and cannot think of one negative thing to say about the venue or the people who helped us with our wedding and who are now helping with my friends wedding. I am not one to write reviews normally but when I saw such a negative one for Edgewood I felt the need to respond because of that amazing way I have been treated by them. Treat people how you want to be treated when planning your wedding and they will go the extra mile to make your day special. I recommend Edgewood Country Club 100%. Edgewood is a beautiful venue, the staff is excellent and the food is wonderful. However, their management leaves much to be desired. One day 24 hours before my sons wedding the manager approached my in laws to be and asked that they sign a new contract with increased prices. One day before the wedding.! In the agreement signed with Edgewood the prices were set and a deposit was accepted. How dare they upset everyone one day before the event. Their client treatment is shoddy to say the least. If you plan on having an event at Edgewood be sure that you have red lined the clause in the contract that stiupulates that they could raise the price, which we did and still were harassed. more
