Edgewater Cafe is a great little niche for locals in the heart of Salem. The portions are huge and delicious. The sweet and sour wings have a kick to them, which provided me with a more than pleasant surprise. The chicken chimichangas are unlike any others I have had. They are covered in this white creamy sauce that was absolutely delicious. more

Does not approximate Mexican food 4/21/2006

I was excited to try the food at Edgewater since it was rated so high on Citysearch. I sat with three other people for a Wednesday lunch. The service was terrible! No beverages for 10 minutes and the place was essentially deserted. Maybe it was an off-day for the kitchen, but the shrimp quesadilla was awful! I wanted to send it back; my brother-in-law's chicken was so tough he couldn'it it, and he eats anything! We will not eat at Edgewater again. Pros: Average prices, Seated quickly, Good music Cons: Horrible food, No service, Overpriced more
