Eddy's Bake Shop

We have been faithful patrons of Eddy's, purchasing many birthday cakes in the past. Recently we asked for a carrot cake. It looked great, but when it was cut, and we all took our first bite, we collectively gagged. It was the most terrible cake in the entire world. Both slimy and tasted like cardboard. Nasty flavor that I can't even describe other than it didn't taste anything at all like carrot cake, more like dog food. We made a video to document us tossing the entire cake into the trashcan and sent it to Eddy. He wrote back the next day asking us to bring the cake in to him so he can see it. HELLOOOOOO, didn't you see us dump it into the trashcan?? We are asking for a refund, which is the very least he can do to help repair a ruined birthday. We're waiting for you to do the right thing, Eddy!!! more

I have ordered several cakes from Eddy's (my favorite being the carrot cake-very moist and rich) and have always had exellent cakes. The downside to Eddy's is the staff that works the counter. On all occasions it has been younger staff who were more interested in talking with their friends than in helping the customers. Despite this, I will continue to go there for the delicious, moist cakes--you just can't beat them! more

I've been going to Eddy's since I was very young. I remember everyone in our area going to this one particular bakery only. They do have an excellent variety of goodies and their prices are very fair. It's got the feel of a small time, friendly family run bakery, which I love. This was the only bakery that my stepfather would get this baked goods at, for good reason. more
