An awesome little shop perfect for sewing, quitting, crocheting, and just about any other crafty thing you can think of. The employees are incredibly nice, and they have an excellent selection of fabrics and patterns. This is definitely a step up from some of the more commercial fabric shops, and I think that the employees really take this to being a 5 star experience.\r \r I'm a fan, and I will be returning! more

I have been shopping here pretty regularly for about two years. Although the big box stores have great prices and a million coupons, they don't carry the professional tools or products from smaller specialty vendors the way Eddies does.\r \r I found great products such as large rolls of Swedish tracing paper, transfer paper, specialty rulers, double tracing wheels, and vintage tweed! Much of my holy grail tools were found here. The staff has always been very friendly and informative. I know that if there is a new product that I would like to purchase, I feel very comfortable asking them to consider carrying it in their store.\r \r I love that I don't have to go to all the way up to Britex for these things. Since my interested is in fashion sewing, you will find me upstairs where the fashion fabrics are. I want for more fashion sewists to shop here so that maybe they would carry more indie patterns such as Victory, Colette, Oliver & S, etc.\r \r Easy parking, elevator and restroom in the store, they take all cards, great open hours.... I have no complaints! Thanks EQB! more

I took my little sister here for the machine basics class and it was great! we both loved it and walked out with a pillow. the teacher was nice, she went through the steps a little fast but if you wait your turn she will come around and show you. i didn't know that we were only making pillow covers and the cotton for the pillow be extra, but other than this it was a nice experience for myself and my 10 year old sister. My sister was able to sew her pillow cover and walked out very proud of her creation! more

Eddie's Quilting Bee is your go-to place to buy a sewing machine. They have a great selection and a knowledgeable staff. I did take a class (we made pillow covers) on how to use a sewing machine, and I found it extremely helpful. \r \r As for the cons, while they do have a wide range of fabric, like somebody else mentioned, I thought the choice was a little dated. Also, Eddie really pushes Babylocs which cost close to a grand, and I found it slightly uncomfortable.\r \r But overall, it's a nice place to shop, and the people are friendly, so check it out! more

I love this place! The people who work here and the customers who frequent it are so friendly and helpful. They have a good selection of very cute fabrics (including Amy Butler) and they offer lots of classes from beginning sewing to how to use a serger more

I am an experienced seamstress, fabric shopper and sewing machine fanatic. Eddie has always taken great care of my machines and done so in a timely fashion. They keep current with sewing trends and know their machines well. more

Great great customer service. They had exactly what I needed when no place else had. Thank you more

They have great staff who are helpful and very nice. Lots of notions. Fabrics are expensive (but that's expected) and this place is definitely geared towards the quilter rather than apparel sewers. more

For the most part, Eddie's Quilting Bee is a decent place. I bought my sewing machines from them and have taken several of their classes. \r \r Their classes are very helpful and I have grown in my sewing. They have really neat fabric selection and the sales people are very knowledgeable. \r \r Most of the staff are nice, especially Britney, Karen and Michelle. However, there are a few that need an attitude adjustment. I had one sewing instructor for a machine intro class be just down right rude. She would make short and snotty comments when you would ask her a question. I haven't seen her for quite some time, so hopefully she has moved on. Michelle and Karen are great instructors. They are patient and very pleasant to deal with. They make sewing fun to learn. \r \r Another lady that works downstairs on the main floor is another one that is hard to deal with. She seems to always be there and acts a little annoyed when she has to help gather supplies for a class. She's always there and even though I try to be friendly towards her, I get nowhere. Oh well, fortunately, I do not have to spend that much time with those certain individuals when I am there. more

I do believe that they play favorites to their longtime customers. It is slightly awkward. The store is huge and well lit. I have taken plenty of classes and have never had the teacher try to sell me anything. I have bought 2 sewing machines here and found that the intro classes are very helpful for learning your machine. I disagree with other yelpers that this is just a quilting store. They have a great condensed selection of cute patterns for bags/purses/kid clothes/aprons. Also, there are tons of notions upstairs. If you need help upstairs there is a doorbell that you can push and someone will come upstairs and help. more

If your elderly aunt comes to visit the Peninsula, she doesn't want to see no Google or Computer History Museum. She wants to go to a fabric store that has four different crustacean-themed fabrics to make her fancy crabcake festival quilt.\r \r If you dream of serging and quilting, this is the place for you. more

I was surprised to see some of the low reviews. I'm an avid quilter and I go here a lot. They have a lot of good selection and the quality of their fabric is higher than what you would find at a Joanns.\r \r I think a lot of people who don't have experience with sewing/quilting sometimes have the impression they can just do a project. Really it is a skill and you can't just jump in to the deep end. I would just say that if you are new to quilting/sewing maybe start with one of the classes. more

Pretty small but the selection did have some items I haven't seen in other places.\r Very friendly sales associates that were eager to help without being over bearing.\r But the prices were insane!! Won't be going here too often on that alone because I can make due at other similar stores in the area. more

Got my sewing machine here 2 years ago and that was my first introduction to this place. The service has been fine for me whenever I've gone. My biggest problem is choosing fabric! Once I go in there I get so overwhelmed by the choices I don't know what to do! This makes it is easy to spend $100 without thinking. I've pretty much learned to make my money go further there by getting a few yards of standout fabric and adding it to plain and cheap fabric and notions at one of those big box fabric stores (where I can use a coupon) to make my crafty projects.\r \r I've also taken a few classes there. The machine intro class I took was great, while the strip stocking class I took was eeeeh. I learned how to strip quilt more

A girlfriend who is an amazing quilter turned me onto Eddie's - they have incredible fabric selection and sewing machines. It's like a mini-community - people buy their equipment and fabric, have lots of classes and professional support. A good place - prices to be expected with higher quality fabrics. more

If I'm ever in the need for buttons I go to Eddie's.\r I love the fabrics there as well and he has a large variety of novelties as well as your usual quilting fabrics.\r Classes are nice and staff is helpful. more
