excellent customer service, very homely, staff is wonderful especially Leela, she's the best!!!!!! rooms are very nice and comfy, breakfast was awesome, and super close to the beach at a very great cost will definitely recommend friends and family to stay at this hotel and will come to stay here again and again!!!!!! more

I have stayed here two times, every time it was an excellent experience. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The room was perfect great bed, clean. The morning breakast was fine as well. If your in Encintas and need a place to stay try this platinum award winning hotel. Great job and hats off to their high standards. more

I am very happy with this motel.The staff are very friendly and helpful!\r The rooms are really clean, large and have great beds and tv.The bagel and chocolate chip muffins at breakfast are very nice ! The orange juice is great too.I would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone. more

The Encinitas Econo Lodge is just off the quite busy Coast Highway, and is a little bit out of town - it took us about 20 minutes to walk to the centre of Encintas. The room price is very reasonable, however, and the rooms are clean, tidy and well presented. Breakfast is included in the room rate; it's a very simple buffet affair served on a counter in reception, but the coffee is good and the fruit is fresh - good enough to set you up for the morning. There's an ample free car park with a small swimming pool at the front of the hotel too - bonus! more

I was not expecting this little hotel to be so on point! The staff is on par, very friendly and accommodating.\r Pride of ownership shows in the cleanliness of the hallways, carpets and bathrooms. The hotel has been updated tastefully from the ceilings, furniture and color schemes. Everything seems new.\r It's a small, quaint little hotel so there's not any undesirables roaming around at all and the feeling you get here is comfortable, cheery and safe. more

This nice little motel is within five minutes walk to beautiful Encinitas beaches. Our king size room was equipped with microwave, refrigerator, hair dryer, ironing board in addition to a nice wide screen TV and a lot of shelfing space for storage. Our second floor room facing the ocean allowed us to open the window and enjoy the ocean breeze.\r \r The front desk personnel were efficient and very friendly and the continental breakfast was definitely above average. more

We had enjoyed a brilliant Route 66 road trip and had 6 days to spend before returning home to Ireland. My lovely partner had been in Southern California many years ago and as I had not and she recommended it we decided to have 3 days in Encinitas and 3 in San Diego. We were not looking for luxury in Encinitas but a comfortable base to look around and the Econo Lodge fulfilled that reguirement excellently. It is on the highway just a short distance from the centre and only a short walk to the fabulous beach. It has its own swimming pool. The rooms are comfortably furnished. The owners are a delightful, shy, slightly formal, but friendly family and it is clear that they do their best to maintain high standards in the hotel. For what you get it is very good value. more

Needed a low-price alternative close to La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad for a wedding, and this EconoLodge in Encinitas was perfect. The staff was friendly, the parking was easy, the room was simple and clean, the bed was comfy (king size room), the air worked, the window cracked open a little for fresh air but not all the way (for safety), and the refrigerator and microwave were nice to have. more

Nice little motel. Very clean, has a mini fridge/freezer, plus a microwave. They offered free wi-fi but I didn't use it. Bed wasgood. Staff were very sweet and polite. more

We had a wonderful time! The rooms were nice and clean. Great to have microwave and fridge. Plenty of room for the 4 of us 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Very close to the beach and lots of places to eat nearby. Staff was awesome. more

Good location. 3/9/2006

My family stayed at this lodge on a trip to Legoland. It was a very short drive to Legoland and the room was as expected. The kids liked the few block walk to the beach every morning. My youngest is a train fan. It is right across from the train tracks. We were never bothered by the noise of the passing trains, just by my son running to the window to see! The walls are quite thin, so if you have a family, expect your neighbors to complain!! Took about 15mins after checking for our neighbors to call the front desk... The breakfast consists of a pitcher of an orange drink, coffee, apples, and mini muffins from costco. more
