Eco Laundry review:
I need to start off by saying that most of the people that work at his place are very nice, and very helpful. Unfortunately one of the women really wrecks this place. First off, forget it if you need quarters or something. She's remarkably condescending. She's on the phone most of the time, and god forbid you find a second where you can actually ask her for quarters, or something else you may need.
You get attitude that she's like you're a big inconvenience, and have interrupted her from her phone conversation, and she actually has to walk 'all the way to the register' to do something for you.
How dare you interrupt her when she's on the phone...
She's an African-American lady named Anita with a REALLY bad attitude - she is not friendly at all - matter of fact she's really pushy, a little hostile - and as it turns out, she's a huge racist who ""doesn't like"" white people. Nice.
It's not just me she's rude to. It's anyone that may inconvenience her for even a minute. I wouldn't say any of this if I didn't feel it relevant, and if I hadn't experienced it first hand on a couple of occasions. Even a co-worker said that she's witnessed it herself.
Sure, it's a laundromat. I don't expect black tie VIP service from a laundromat employee - but how about treating your customers a little bit better than just being downright rude? After all, people like me are paying your paycheck when all is said and done.
Whereas I used to do all my laundry there, because it's very close to my house, I rarely if ever go now. I've sought out alternate places. I was going to actually go in there this morning and do a TON of laundry that needs to be done, but I pulled up, saw her foul scowling face sitting on the couch reading the paper, and I said ""no way"" and left the place.
The other two ladies (in their 50s maybe) who work there are absolutely delightful and very helpful. I want to make sure that this is noted. Being a laundromat attendee isn't rocket science, sure, but at the same time it's not exactly strenuous work. Or high stress. Unless she's working.
Nevertheless, the other two women are very friendly, very nice, and very helpful. How the other lady still has a job is beyond me. Her attitude is TERRIBLE.
The machines at this laundromat, with the exception of a few new giant ones, are very old. I'd say one in five is broken down. When they work, they work well, however.
The two ladies that I've spoken well of always handle any problems that I've run into. It's pretty frequently as the machines are old - I don't mind as long as my clothes end up clean and the machines don't steal my money. One time a machine actually ate a couple of my quarters without giving me any love, and one of the ladies made good on it right away. The way it should be.
Same situation with the foul tempered lady - she basically told me where I could go and that was that.
I honestly would have rated this place with five stars, but she alone drags the rating way down.
