Good but could be Great 4/18/2011

Good: This is a good place that works toward being great - but not their yet. Excellent location in Del Ray and a pretty location. Good quality plants that are priced for a well-heeled groupe of customers in area.. Bad: Store opens later than the big boxes, and closes too early for people who work in yard and garden until the sun goes down. They have no outbuildings and the interior building which is a house is all gifts, consignment, vintage. Nice things there, but you can't shop for plants in the rain and so they close.. Improvements: More selection of perennials and shrubs beyond the usual suspects. Better opening hours and train the one sort of ornery salesperson to be nicer.. Other: They've got the right ideas in this nice center, but they could ask for private customer feedback for ideas to help them improve their arrangemtns.. more

Garden and gifts galore! 8/7/2005

I love love love Eclectic Nature! Outdoors is a fabulous garden shop – featuring plants, flowers, and garden accessories. Indoors is the cutest gift shop – each room has a theme: baby, bridal, kitchen, bath, etc. and is very carefully decorated to show off the great finds. The staff (both inside the shop and outside in the garden) is very knowledgeable and helpful – and they’ve done an amazing job on landscaping, and added a wonderful mural to Mt. Vernon Avenue! more
