Eckman, James R, Md - Grady Memorial Hospital

my sister whom is very special to me was recently admitted to Grady for some specific health problems. I don't live near her but I called her daily and by her phone conversations I am convinced she was getting the best care possible. I understand what it is like to be in the hospital so I know the difference between bad ad good service so I can appreciate the staff at Grady.So in closing let me just say keep up the good work!!!! more

My brother is being seen by the trauma unit Only 2 family members are allowed on the floor at any time. There is not ample waiting area anywhere else in the hospital.It is very hard to locate loved ones. The bathrooms available are few and far between and are always filthy. My brothers hospital bed is too short for him. Numerous amounts of equiptment has been gone thru, becuase of malfunctions or just not working at all. His nurse has had to wait hours for meds needed. The doctors and nurses are great. The rest of the hopital, are unkind , uncaring, and down right rude. Everywhere you look there is filth. If you walk out the front doors you are most likely going to be acousted by the homeless. Security guards are on a power trip and no-one is given the option to use common sense in any situation. I have seen 3 deaths in the trauma just in the 5 days I have been there and at no time was anyone of the visitors treated kindly. I would avoid Grady like the plague. more

arrogant,student residence from a hospital for profit schooling system,not reccomended for people of low income attempting to recieve high quality compassionate an understanding healthcare,without dealing with power control hungry freaks /lacks quality control supervision ,that's on the normal side/now but if your fortunate too have had a tractor trailer semi totally slam over you you will get to see top notch expirienced professional's in their field!.. Pros: trama emergency unit, (PRO-STAFFED)! Cons: unless your about to expirience death, you won't be seen by the TRAMA unit. more
