For 81 years, the McDaniel Funeral Home has been dedicated to providing services to the families of Grant, Owen, Scott and Harrison Counties with care and compassion.
Established in 1932 as the McCabe, Shirley and Rogers Funeral Home with funeral homes in Corinth and Sadieville, KY. At some point in time shortened to Shirley and Rogers and later and for many years was known as the Rogers Funeral Home. The Rogers family closed the Sadieville location several years ago. The funeral home was purchased in April 2002 by Bob and Lila McDaniel.
Founded in 1920 by Harry Eckler, the Eckler Funeral Home has served families in the Dry Ridge, Crittenden, Mt. Zion and surrounding areas for generations. In 1962 a spacious chapel was built upon the site of a former Methodist church, just across the driveway from the building that houses the offices and from 1934 until 1962 served as the chapel. Upon Mr. Eckler's death, his son, John M. Eckler continued to operate the funeral home until his retirement in 1979. James R. Hudson purchased the funeral home at that time and continued with many years of service to the community. The Eckler-Hudson Funeral Home was purchased on July 27, 2007 by Bob and Lila McDaniel and extensive renovations have been completed since then including the addition of a refreshment/kitchen area adjacent to the chapel.
