My husband and I hired Echo Media to do the photography and video for our wedding so this is a two part review.\r I love the fact that with Echo Media photography, we own the rights to all of our pictures and can print any that we want without paying the photographer to do it for us. I also like that there are so many to choose from. Amy and Cathy never sat down during the entire reception! We have pictures of us with each of our guests and we even have a picture of us posing with a thank you placard to use for thank you notes (once we get started on writing them). The photographers made us feel so comfortable, they were a great addition to the day and got pictures of all the details that we would otherwise have forgotten about. \r As for the video, my father-in-law was the one who insisted that we needed video and I’m so glad that he did. There is nothing like being able to actually see and hear the wedding after the fact. I was a little hesitant about my husband being miked but Dan assured me that he wouldn’t put anything embarrassing in the video and he kept his word. I love re-watching our ceremony and hearing how nervous we sounded! Honestly, watching our video in high-definition is better and more professional that most movies. The case the video came in, the labels, and the motion menu’s on the video all were selected by us and personalized by Dan. We even got to give him the names of everyone in the wedding to run as credits at the end! No matter what you have to cut to afford video-do it! You will be so glad.\r I could go on and on about our experience with Echo Media, but I really do have to get to the thank you notes-so I’ll end with: Use Echo Media for your wedding! We hired Echo Media to film our renewal of vows for our 50th wedding anniversary aboard a Carnival Cruise through the Caribbean. They not only filmed our renewal of vows but also shore excursions, our time on the ship, and time having fun as a family. They never intruded on us but managed to get amazing footage that th...ey turned in to a video that we will always treasure. We would recommend Echo Media unconditionally. I used Echo Media in June of 07'. I did all that I could to be very specific in my requests so everyone knew what I wanted i.e. review the video in advance prior to its showing to which he agreed. On completion of the video he did not show it to me in advance and he just said ""trust me"". When the video was shown at the party there were identical pictures that were shown two and three times throughout the video on several instances. After the party we took a 1 week vacation. During that time we watched the video 3 times and were able to pinpoint all of the duplicative pictures. Upon our return I contacted the owner and asked if he would delete the duplicative pictures and prepare another disc. He stated ""it is too late now I have already deleted your file and I have spent too much time on your job"". In late February early March of 08' I contacted Echo Media to complete another job. Though I was dissatisfied with the prior work I thought I would give him another chance under different circumstances. Rather than be grateful I contacted him again after the problems he caused with the first job he stated ""I won't do anymore work for you"". That turned out to be a blessing in disguise because he referred me to Ben and Nick at Signature Videography in Stockton @ 209+957-4021. They in turn have a program in place that will not pick up duplicative pictures, and allowed to review the entire video prior to preparing a DVD. They also do not delete your files. I did not write this review after the bad experience in June of 07' because I just let it go. After I contacted him subsequent to his errors 9 months later and essentially forgave him I thought it was extremely unprofessional to turn down my work. As a result it was the best circumstance for me that could have happened and I thought at this point others should now how I was mistreated. Cons: Would not correct his mistakes. more
