I used Easy Repairable service for my moped recently since it wouldn?t start. They stated that the carb needed to be cleaned, and it would be roughly $100. I agreed and the maintenance was done promptly. My moped was dropped off the next day with an invoice for $129.92.. not too bad..(aside from charging me $5 to ?charge battery,? which was 100% charged by me before they picked it up).
Upon riding my moped for the first time, I could tell something wasn?t right. It was sluggish and could barely break 25mph. The next day I called them again to explain what was happening. They were prompt about coming to pick it up again, but miraculously this invoice was for $187.39!!!! WOW! More than the first one? Shouldn?t that all have been taken care of the first time?? Let?s go over this invoice:
$34.70 new belt ? Why wasn?t this taken care of the first time if it needed replacing?
$24.77 air filter ? It was barely dirty! Also, why not the first time?
$20 pickup fee ? Fair enough, no complaints
$9 shop supplies ? I?d like to know what this includes, as I never did get an answer. (also charged on the first invoice)
$90 labor ? What?? Here?s the explanation I was given, ?The carb was plugged up again, so it needed to be cleaned. I only charged $60 this time (compared to $80 the first), and the other $30 was diagnosing the problem and swapping the belt/air filter! What!!!!!?!?!?!!! $90 to do re-do the first job, and change some UNNEEDED PARTS!
The carb was the issue the first time. Why did they charge me AGAIN to clean it? Maybe because they were too lazy to do it properly the first time? who knows?. Why did I need a new belt and air filter? The old belt looks fine, It was given back to me. The air filter was barely dirty. It could have been cleaned in 2 minutes?
I called them to ask more questions as to why it wasn?t fixed right the first time. The gentleman on the phone, Hawk, was by far the rudest individual I have ever spoken to. I simply called to ask the above questions and was immediately greeted with an aggressive, defensive, `blame the other person? attitude. After saying I was dissatisfied with the cost and services rendered, and asked about the charges, the only responses I got were, ?You should have taken better care of it? and ?I can?t control what you put in the gastank.? What?? That justifies a $90 labor charge?
So overall, If your looking for a couple of rude and ignorant guys to do a poor job at fixing your moped, while excessively charging you for the same repairs, EASY REPAIRABLE IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!!! Everyone has $$ to throw away right?? I would suggest avoiding this place at all costs!
