Easy Driving School

READ BELOW AND BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. The below reviewer was right. This company has horrible customer service. Don't even think of asking a logical question. If they do call you back, a big if, they will do all the talking. In their ad, 10 reasons to choose Easy Driving, #8 says: ""no long delays to schedule behind the wheel."" If you don't think one month is a long delay then this is the company for you. You can only make one appt. at a time and then you do your behind the wheel, oh yeah, bring money for gas, and then you wait another month because that is how long they schedule you out. When you call them, if they answer, you only have a few hours a week to call and then when they go on vacation/close the office they don't say anything on the message so you keep calling to no avail. FUNNY MONEY MATH ALSO: Teen Program cost $489, 30 hours class, 6 hour behind the wheel. If you look at the Behind the Wheel package, it is $379 for a two hour lesson plus a road test. You need 6 hours behind the wheel, so, do you have to pay 3 times? The ""Manager"" haha, wrote and told me the Teen Package is $12.97/hour for classroom and $16.67/ hour for behind the wheel. Why would they charge you $379 for the Behind the Wheel package? Also, when you don't get your 3 behind the wheel's done within their time limit - 6 months, THEY CHARGE YOU $300 FOR A CHANCE TO FINISH. Then good luck getting an appointment. I paid $489 for the teen package, the ""Manager"" didn't like my questions and kicked me out of his program giving me a $100 refund for the 6 behind the wheel sessions. You do the math and see how this business operates. PATHETIC!! more

Our story is much the same as many other people... our son completed his classroom training and when we went to book his behind the wheel we were told that they have a policy that behind the wheel must be completed within 6 months and we were past 6 months. After calling several other drivers training schools, we found that Easy is the only one with this policy. They refused to work with us and wanted another $300 for behind-the-wheel, after we've already paid $430. We finally gave up after over a month of trying to reason with them and are going to another school. Don't let this happen to you. Cons: Bad policies and customer service. more

My son completed his classroom training end of last summer and when we went to book his behind the wheel after school was out we were told that they have a policy that behind the wheel must be completed within 6 months and we were past 6 months. They are the only company I have found in town that has this policy and they are unwilling work with us, stating we singed a contract. While that was true and it was my fault for not printing the terms and assuming 12 months like the other schools, they never mentioned it when I signed my sons completion paperwork or tried to contact us in anyway to let us know the 6 month dead line was approaching. They make it way too easy to let the time expire. The owners had no mercy and seemed irritated that I didn't agree with the policy or the lack of notification. The thing that bothers me most is the attitude they had toward me when I questioned the 6 months and the lack of notification, just not the way you run a business. I just got my license thru Easy Driving, They made the whole process very easy for me. From classroom all the way thru behind the wheel and the road test preperation. Pros: Just got my license! more

I recently completed one of the summer class sessions, I now have my permit and have been driving with my mom and dad. I have Behind the Wheel scheduled for next Wednesday and am looking forward to it. Great classroom instructor and great class size/ratio. Pros: Will send my friends here! more

I took a lesson today and now I am starting to understand the rules of driving, i am a recent transplant from Georgia and thought it would be a good idea to take a refresher lesson before driving up here. I my take another lesson this winter to get my winter driving skills up to speed. Pros: Good investment more

I sent my daughter to Easy in June, she just scored 100% on her permit test! They had practice permit tests to try online that were very helpful. Pros: Up to date class materials, good test preperation more

I am from a different country and the instructor was very good with me. It was difficult for me learning to drive in america, but I am starting to get the hanfg of things. Pros: Thanks for the driving lessons more

After looking around the area for driving schools for my child, and after visiting many different schools, we decided to send our child to Easy. They were in a great location, they answered my email promptly and were all around very helpful. We are new to Minnesota and the drivers education process and they made it easy for us. Pros: Very easy process for us new MN residents! more

I bought my granddaughter a gift certificate for her 15th Birthday. Everone was so helpful and patient with me. They answered all my questions, and I ask a lot of questions! I would highly recommend them to my friends and family. Pros: Very nice staff more

Rarely do I rate a business as high as this one, that woman who keeps posting under different names must be crazy. Her son is not smart enough to pass the permit test???? Wow, maybe there is some special program for extra slowwwww learners. My kid had no trouble with the test what so ever! Pros: The best Driving School around!!! Cons: None!!! more

My son took the class at easy. Mike the instructor very rude and unprofessional when it came time for the behind the wheel they tried to get more money out of me. I spoke to the owner and much of the same. They only care about money not people...I caution all potential clients. I have warned the Maple Grove High School and even a cople surrounding not to reccomend them. They never answer the phone. They lie and decieve. Beware so you do not get taken advantage of. My son attended their classroom...very disappointing....poor to say the least. Then these people pressured another Mom who drove my son to class to pay for behind the wheel in saying he could not get his blue card without it...which the state told me otherwise today. I out of obligation reinbursed this Mom even though I never signed himup for behind thw wheel personally...they accepted a strangers money for my son. I have filed a greivence with the state and it possibley could become a law suit. Do not go down this rode they are a scam. Cons: Shadey operation more

Very smooth at first. They sing a great song and dance....but when the rubber meets the road they fall very short. Never answer their phone, Never answer emails. Classroom very very poor. So disappointing I had my son retake the classroom for fear he learned nothing and would not be well equipted to handle real life situations. I started my child in Easy driving school...because of the lack of professionalism and never answering the phomne...although they were real quick to take my money....my son never completed the training and because they would never call back when i would leave messages we forfeited (supposedly) and they asked us to pay again. What a scam all they want is money. I went to Sears instead very professional. Night and day to Easy driving , do yourself a favor and save 500.00 because they will try to scam you out of it!!!! I started Easy Driving School back on 08-07-06. I am still trying to finish up do to my hectic schedule. I spend alot of time in florida so I don't have time for this very often. My mom just doesn't seem to understand me...... Oh well, the instructor is just the greatest guy I have ever meet!!!! I recommend Easy Driving School to all my friends at MCA!!!!!!! more

I would have to say very bad business practices. We were treated rudely. They never ever answer the phone and all they care about is money. Do yourself a favor and use someone else or you will be very disappointed. My neighbor also used them and are very unhappy as well. The girls thought the class was boring and they did not get anything out of it...which showed when they went to take their permit test. I as a Dad would felt I had to go over everything with a fine tooth comb because my daughter did not get what she needed out of the classroom or behind the wheel to be a safe sriver.
