I took my 4 year old daughter to this urgent care on Friday evening about 8:00 with an earache and sore throat. They were very busy but everyone was super nice and competent.

Worst

Please never ever go there. They are the worst. The facility is horrible. The doctor doesn't know what he is doing. I ended up spending 1500 dollars because of a bizarre and wrong...

Later found out in the emergency room that all I had was a simple case of heartburn. Please save yourself from the ordeal. more

HORRIBLE RUN!! 5/14/2012

THIS WAS THE WORST URGENT CARE FACILITY I HAVE EVER BEEN TOO!!! I TOOK MY SON THERE BECAUSE OF HIS HIGH FEVER AND RED IRRITATED EYES. AT FIRST THE NURSES COULD NOT WORK THERE THERMOMETER TO CHECK HIS TEMPERATURE SO THEY JUST GUESSED AND HOPED IT WORKED!!! THEN THE DOCTOR CAME IN TOOK ONE LITTLE LOOK AT MY SON AND DETERMINED PINK EYE THEY SENT IN A PRESCRIPTION ELECTRONICALLY I ASSUMED IT WOULD BE FOR EYE DROPS WELL IT WAS FOR EYE OINTMENT AND IF YOU HAVE NEVER USED THAT BEFORE PUTTING A COATING OF OINTMENT ON A 2 YEAR OLDS EYE LID IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE EVEN THE PHARMACIST THAT FILLED IT QUESTIONED WHY THEY HAD GIVEN HIM THAT!!! I TOOK HIM TO THE DOCTOR THE NEXT DAY TO TRY AND CHANGE THE PRESCRIPTION HIS OWN DOCTOR TOLD ME HE DOESNT EVEN HAVE PINK EYE THAT IT WAS A VIRAL INFECTION THESE IDIOTS HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND I HAVE A FEELING THEY DONT EVEN CARE SO RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN TO ANOTHER LOCATION AND A BETTER DOCTOR I HAVE BEEN TO SEVERAL OTHER URGENT CARE PLACES aND THEY more

great urgent care experience 12/13/2011

I took my visiting mother to Eastside Urgent Care over Thanksgiving weekend. She had developed severe pain in her foot only hours before her scheduled flight home. She received prompt, solicitous, respectful, and excellent diagnosis and treatment. My mom commented that she felt she received better care at Eastside than from her own doctor in Indiana (which, sadly, I think may be true.) I would certainly consider using them again for urgent care. more

Don't Go to Eastside Medical Urgent Care Without Your Wallet! 8/24/2011

This place is a ripoff. My wife cut her finger and we went there to get it checked out. After waiting an hour and a half, we finally got in to have the doctor look at it. He said she needed two stitches, which took him about 10 minutes to do. She was told to come back and have it checked out in two days. When she went back, the doctor said it looked ok, which took about 2 minutes. Well, that whole process cost $605 ($513 with the insurance discount). As a lot of companies have done, my company switched from a co-pay plan to a high deductible plan to save money. So the $513 came out of our pocket. I don't mind paying a fair price but considered the costs excessive. The first visit cost $440 ($185 office visit, $247 surgery, $8.00 Durable Medical Equipment). Come on - $247 for "surgery"! The doctor put in 2 stiches in her finger in the examining room - by himself. He didn't even have a nurse help him. We spent a grand total of about 30 minutes (half of which was waiting fo more

i went do to breathing problems they had me sit in the waiting room for 3 hours to just say they cant see me cause it wasnt urgent. then i took my 15 year old there for a messed up wrist and after waiting 4 hours we were told its just bruised and they never did anything the next day we went to the family dr and found out it was broken. i will never go there again more

nice staff 4/12/2011

I brought my son to the urgent care because I didn't want to take him to the emergency room and his doctor could not get him in till the next day. I was happy with the care my son got here. We waited about an hour to be seen (which was not fun) but it is shorter than a emergency room wait. Dr. Cunningham was very thorough. The nurse Stephanie was pleasant. The xray girl Meghan was very cheerful. I would recommend this urgent care the staff is very nice. more

I wouldn't go there again 2/24/2011

They take a really long time. One of the patients who was before me had waited over an hour and a half to be seen, and they took just about as long for me. It wasn't even crowded. Then they over-charged me. I am only supposed to pay 20% for Urgent Care and they charged me "$150". That's in quotes because the receptionist said "that would be $150 or we can make 2 payments of $75". Later, when I looked on my bill, they actually charged me $159! Then the care was poor too. I had sought other medical attention from another place where they advised me to keep my leg elavated, soak in Epsom salt, ice it, and gave me something to put on my foot. At THIS place, they did nothing mentionned above. They merely said, "You have a sprain, you can go now"! I am highly dissatisfied. more

I brought my daughter here last year for white spots on her throat. The Dr. looked in her throat and said he didnt see any white spots and her tonsils looked clear, without spots or redness...problem is she doesnt have tonsils! she had them removed 4 years ago...I pointed this out to him and had him check again and low and behold he saw spots! the rapid strep was negative and I got a call back several days later that her strep test was actually positive. \r \r i went to visit for dizziness and earache and after spending approx 4 mins with me the Dr. stated I should take antivert for dizziness. I already told her I was taking Bonine, when I get to the pharmacy they told me it was the same thing. These visits were a waste of time and money. We did not get the appropriate diagnosis or relief from the problem. I will go to Victor or Pittsford if I need urgent care again. more

Long wait for great care 10/16/2010

So there is usually a long wait but in my opinion, the great care is worth it. I have been to a few urgent care centers in the area in the past 5 or so years and this one is best. The PA I saw ...she was absolutely wonderful. more

Good After Hours Care 6/26/2010

I have been to Eastside Urgent Care about 5 times since 2006 and every time has been really great. They are much faster then the emergency room and great for after hours when our doctors office is closed. They are great with my kids. The only bad thing I could think of is they do not take medicaid, but they do take Preferred Care Option and Blue Choice Option. more

lied to and treated rudely 2/10/2010

I had a bad experience. I arrived there sick and asked if my insurance was accepted and I was told that they did. I waited a long time to see the doctor. Before leaving I checked to make sure that I did not owe anything. Then 6 weeks later I received a bill telling me that they did not accept my insurance. After several phone calls and being treated rudely by the manager, I have to pay the full amount out of pocket. more

Not so Urgent 11/19/2009

I recently went to Urgent Care as I had caught the flu. I went there as I understand that the FLU is somewhat an urgent matter especially with getting the Tamiflu in order to reduce the pain (body aches, fever, chills) as there is only a 48 hour window period for it to kick in. Unfortunately my dr's office could not get me in until 3 and I wanted to seek help immediately. I arrived at Urgent care at noon and didn't get in for over 2 hours... and there were only 4 other people before me. I was stuck sitting in an unfcomfortable chair with a cough, fever, aches, and chills for two hours to only be set into my room and wait to be seen by a nurse. Then another 1/2 passed until I could finally see a dr. Said and done it was 3:30 by the time I walked out of there... I should have just gone to my dr's. They really do not treat you as though your case is "URGENT". more

Always Satisfied 11/14/2009

I have been to Eastside Urgent care more than a half dozen times in the past 6 years, for everything from a broken ankle, to strep throat, to infected earring piercings. We have always had a great experience with professional and caring doctors and attendants. We leave with prescriptions in hand or a referral to get casted up with an orthopedic doctor at Strong (for suspected broken bones they have ALWAYS told us to follow up with our primary care physician or Strong Ortho. The only time we waited longer than an hour was during the H1N1 breakout in the fall of 2009. They are great with kids, too, and you never get the feeling that you are in a "clinic" setting. more

mis diagnosed 8/27/2008

i recently visited the urgentcare facility in penfield to be mis diagnosed. what the problom actually is was broken bones in my foot and was diagnosed as gout. allthough x rays were taken nothing fractured showed up due to the amount of swelling. if the proper actions were taken such as seeing me again when the swelling had gone down they would have been able to see that it was a fracture indeed. since then i have contracted ostiomyalitus (bone death) because i continued my daily life while using my foot and causing more damage. so next time you visit the urgentcare in penfield make sure you dont see a dr. jeffery hall for the sake that you wont have to go through what i have. more

Urgent Care 8/8/2007

I have used this location for my kids as well as for myself. When I could not get an appt. with my primary dr., I went to Urgent Care and rec'd great medical attention in a very short time. They were very friendly and efficient and make the kids feel comfortable. Cheaper & faster than the emergency room. more

great for sports injuries 8/8/2007

Our son went to Eastside Medical Urgent Care on a Sunday morning for a sports injury that occurred on a Saturday afternoon. The staff was very efficient and professional. We didn't have to wait very long. We had the x-ray, diagnosis and splinting all for one copay. We still had to see the doctor the next day, but it was good to know what was wrong. more
