Wonderful Childcare 5/30/2011

Terrific Place! We've had our three children there over the last two years and the last one is due to leave this month. We came from two other previous places that we had difficulties with and this place was a godsend. The teachers are genuinely warm and friendly and truly seem to adore our children. Our children will have many fond memories for years to come and we will miss the friendly atmosphere.\r Liked: Disliked: \r more

Disorganized institution 8/2/2009

The leaders were bureaucratic and did not want to take responsibility. Worse yet, some actively participated gossiping. Some teacher's aides were not very interested in the children, just waiting for the hours to pass. Pros: Lower student/teacher ratio; reasonable tuitions Cons: Some teaching and administrative staffs not enthusiastic more

Old staff leaving, unsetteling 1/22/2009

I agree with the infighting of staff. And a lack of communication between the staff of the classrooms as well. There have been A LOT of staffing changes- classroom closed, teachers switched and administration leaving...it makes me wonder what the problem is here? If the staff is at a state of unrest, how are they supposed to care and focus on my child? I am disappointed and considering leaving to a more stable environment. A cleaner and updated one as well!! The building is so old, and does seem dirty. Pros: kids enjoy, great location Cons: lots of staffing changes, old building more

Number 1 Child Care In East Lansing! & it's NAEYC Accredited! 10/29/2008

I have two children that attend Eastminster! \r My first impression of Eastminster was very warm and friendly! I received personalized attention for me and my children to help us transition into the program. We were new to East Lansing, and although Eastminster came highly recommended from many MSU faculty and friends, it was reasurring to see for myself. \r I felt like I was at home with the teachers and administration from day one! They welcomed me and my family with open arms. The education is excellent and the program is very multicultural. I like that there are several male teachers, teachers of many different backgrounds and cultures, and a lot of children where English is there second language. \r You know how you go somewhere and you can initially feel like you are at home? That is how I feel at Eastminster. And my children are very happy and loved and learning at the same time:) Pros: Terrific Learning Environment, Great Location, New Updates, Awesome Playground! more

poorly run and dirty 8/26/2008

Our child went to eastminster a few years ago, and the place was disorganized and filthy. The teachers are not enthusiastic or highly qualified, and there is a lot of infighting. There wasn't a lot of effort put into providing engaging activities either. There are much better places in the area for less money. Pros: nice playground Cons: poor administration and teachers more

Number One In Childcare! 3/27/2008

I have been an Employee and Parent of Eastminster for 8 years now! I couldn't be happier. From my first day at Eastminster I have felt like family. It took a long time for me to find the ""right"" Center for me. One that I agreed with the philosophy and felt comfortable in. The staff are treated like family and have good benefits-which creates consistency and low staff turnover.-which is important for the children!\r As far as my daughter-she is almost a graduate of ECDC now and has been at Eastminster since she was one year old. I couldn't have asked for better care for my daughter. She is an only child and this experience has been particularily important for her. She has made many friendships, gained a secure sense of self esteem, and grown in more ways than I could ever have imagined. She has learned so much socially, emotionally, physically and cognitively. She can communicate using some simple American Sign Language, and Spanish! \r As a Child Development Proffesional and Mom I know that only the best for my daughter will do, and I know the importance of feeling comfortable all day long while I work, knowing that my daughter is happy.\r I give Eastminster a 5 STAR RATING for their dedication and commitment to Children and their Families.\r Everyone is welcome at Eastminster :o) Pros: Great Location, Fun Learning Atmosphere, and Caring Staff more

Your children will get a wonderful head start in life by attending Eastminster Cildcare! 12/26/2007

My husband and I highly recommend Eastminster Childcare Development center. I have an 8-year-old alumnus who has since moved on to elementary school and is now in second graded. We also have a 2-year that started a little over a year ago and continues to attend Eastminster. The programs Eastminster has to offer are fun educational programs, which will help your child get a head start in life! The Eastminster staff is so wonderful with the children and many times my daughter doesn?t want to leave. \r Perfect score from our family!\r Pros: Educational programs, hours, payment flexibility more

Great Early Education 11/8/2007

We've been going to Eastminster for over a year and have graduated from the Todller Program to the Pre-School 1 level and have been very pleased. Our daughter has started learning sign language, knows her ABC's, is very good at counting and extremely good at sharing. Considering she's almost three and an only child at this point, the sharing part is pretty impressive. \r \r The staff is really good with kids and we're really looking forward to some of the upgrades the Center is going to be making to make the building look better. I would highly recommend Eastminster. Pros: Great staff Cons: Building needs some upgrades, but they are in the middle of addressing more
