Eastman Photography

I agree. ONE STAR IS TOO MANY! My best friend hired Eastman to do her wedding -- her one special day where the pictures are what one hopes will be around for years to come -- and he was the only part of the wedding that wasn't perfect. He showed up late, by himself, ordered people around, was extremely rude when talking to all of the family, even the elderly, shot one picture of each group and sat on his ass the rest of the night. He got no pictures of the wedding party getting ready, almost no pictures of the reception that almost 500 people attended, and, while he did send quite a stack of proofs to choose from, none of them were any better than what I could have taken myself, had I not been in the wedding. If I were calling myself a professional photographer -- a business largely promoted by word of mouth -- I would have 1) been embarrassed to send the proofs with random chairs, heads and construction sights in view 2) been more polite by perhaps greeting the bride with a smile and waiting patiently for my check at the end, rather than grabbing it out of the back pocket of the Father of the Bride, 3) brought more than one lense, most likely more than one camera, to get different view points during the ceremony, 4) taken pride in my work in hopes of getting more gigs, realizing that a couple only gets one special day, and as the photographer, I have the responsibility and pleasure to bring that day to life 10 years from now, and the list goes on. On the other hand, Eastman did many of the senior portraits when I was in high school, and he did a find job, despite the slightly perverted instance when he shot one girl in his Speedo swimsuit. Maybe his old age is making him grumpy...but if that's the case....get a new career, and don't ruin anybody else's special day. Jerk. more

Unfortunately I had to give him one star, and that's because city search does not allow no stars. Stay away from Eastman photo. He is extremely unprofessional, rude and has no customer service skills. He doesn't even take that great of photographs! Cons: Too many to list! more

i agree this man is not professional at all. He takes some beautiful pictures, however, with the money you are paying him, you would think that he would be a bit more customer friendly, he treats people like they are a dollar sign, and after you have paid youre no longer his priority even when calling to ask about proofs, ...pretty sad this guy can take a picture----but will not get a recomendation from us for senior pictures!! Dont waste your time! Other places will treat you much better, like you are important and your opinion matters.......... Pros: nice place to take pictures. Cons: did not get photos on time and made it seem like a normal thing for him. more

I had my senior photos taken on July 7th 2008. I live in Arizona, so he said he would mail me my proofs and I should expect the package in a week or so. 4 weeks, a call, and 2 emails later I finally received my proofs. The photos turned out beautifully, then I sent back my proofs to his studio the next morning. The instructional flyer that came with the proofs said I could expect to receive my completed package in 3 weeks. After 8 weeks, several calls, and several emails I finally got a one sentence response saying I could pick up my photos. Keep in mind I live in ARIZONA! Out of frustration I had a family member living in Oregon go to his studio to pick up the photos. When she picked up the photos he charged her $30.00. This ""made up"" fee was not on the website, on any flyers, or explained when I paid for my package in FULL on the day of my shoot. Mr. Eastman takes beautiful photos, but his professionalism is appalling. I DO NOT RECOMMEND EASTMAN PHOTOGRAPHY!!!
