My fiance and I lived here for a year before moving out.
It was our first apartment together, and the price seemed too good to be true! We were happy at first, but things went downhill fast.
Maintenance NEVER came to fix anything.
We woke up one night with water leaking all over the floor from our water heater, and another night with water leaking from the kitchen sink, and when we called emergency maintenance he said he lived an hour away and would be there as soon as he could.
Who has emergency maintenance that is AN HOUR away from the apartment complex' When the sink was leaking/dishwasher was broken (at the same time, so I couldn't do any dishes) it took over a week to get it fixed, calling tons of times.
They kept telling us they had to order a part, but when he finally showed up he had a part from the Home Depot right down the street.
Couldn't he have went there to begin with'
We had squirrels in our ceiling for months - everytime we tried calling, they said there was nothing they could do because they couldn't put a ladder out in the snow, it was unsafe.
We even called the city of Westerville and the health department, who came by several times to speak to management but still nothing got done.
They never shoveled or salted the roads or sidewalks in the winter.
The people below us smoked cigarettes and weed and our apartment smelled like it was us.
Everyone was extremely loud, I never felt safe being out at night by myself, and my fiance's car was broken into.
Cops drove through the complex constantly, and by the time we moved out there were boarded up windows in a bunch of the units right near ours.
The pool wasn't open the entire time we lived there due to health regulations.
The grounds were always littered with trash, steps seemed rickety, and although we were told when we moved in that we would have assigned parking spots, we were then told later that there was nothing they could do if someone parked in our spot.
The price of this place is extremely cheap, and at least when we lived there they paid all of our utilities, but we are so happy to have moved out! It's not worth it to never have maintenance respond and live in a dump.
