Worst

EASTERN: One start is too much...we should have another option to grade with + or -, just like in school. Arecibo and Easter are too big in Park slope and they dont care of anyone...

I needed to get from Brooklyn to JFK Airport today and I was just dreading it. I've never had a good experience with any car ""service"" thus far. I made my reservation with Eastern online (thrilled that I didn't have to TALK to anyone) and I received a confirmation email after doing so. I was skeptical, despite the 5-star Yelp reviews I'd read. The car arrived 8 minutes early (whaa?!?!?) and I received a very nice notification of this via email. ""Your driver has arrived but will wait for you until pick up time..."" AWESOME! I was greeted with a spotless car, a really nice driver and a speedy delivery to JFK. It was refreshing that they got the basics right. Bonus points for joining the rest of us in 2012 and actually using technology to their advantage. I'll absolutely book them again. more

I've used Eastern many times and they've always been professional and on time. It's best to make your reservation the night before you'll need them, but I once called them at 3am and they arrived within 5 minutes. They've always been consistent with their fees and they drive safely. Only once did I have a difficulty reaching them: I called at peak hours on a Sunday after a flight and it was hard to get through on their phone line. So for airport pick-ups and drop-offs I definitely recommend booking the night in advance, but as I said, never a bad experience. more

Just used this service on August 6th with my wife and 1 year old daughter. Great driver, great experience and would recommend to anyone looking to use car service. I'd recommend calling ahead to be sure to know how much the service would cost to avoid any confusion as I think that might be where some of the negative reviews are coming from. We also asked for an infant car seat and the driver had it all set up and waiting for us when we arrived at the airport.\r more

First time customer... great service. I don't live far from their dispatch but the driver showed up early and waited. Nice guy, clean car. We were told $30 on the phone if we paid cash (which we did), driver charged $35 but when we explained he had no problem with it! Easy, simple, fast and clean. Used for return from JFK, another nice, clean car, driver was waiting for us when we came out. Excellent service! more

We really depend on them as we have toddler twins and no car of our own - so to get certain places, we need a car service that provides car seats. We have had very few problems with eastern. \r \r My only issue is that often I will be going to and from the same location many times, and sometimes the drivers quote slightly different prices. It makes me a little suspicious, I know it's not like a yellow cab where it's always metered but why a random three dollars difference in quoted price? That's my only beef, and of course it could be solved if I called the dispatcher to get a price quote every time, but often when I am wrestling with my children it just doesn't seem worth it.\r \r I really love their online reservation system - it makes it so easy. Again, my only issue with this would be if they could add a few more options - a place to check off that TWO child seats are needed, and what kind; and it would be very cool if the price for the trip would come up on the online reservation system once the to and from locations are entered. \r \r Also these guys are usually early. really, they're great.""\r more

It was really hard to decide who to use by looking on the net. Eastern was reliable, sent text confirmation for reservations, showed up on time, had reasonable rates: $30 cash Brooklyn to Le Guardia - $12 for short jaunt. more

I called a cab for a 5am pick up taking me from Flatbush to LaGuardia. The woman on the phone was very helpful and nice. They immediately sent me a text message confirming my pick up time, location and price (which was very reasonable compared to other car services). They then texted me again at 4:30 to confirm a driver was on the way, and at 4:55am to let me know he was downstairs. Eastern was very reliable, well priced, and I will definitely use them again in the future.\r more

I highly recommend this car service, they are always prompt, reliable, and friendly. They are also more than happy to take you to wherever you need to go without a hassle, they're professional, and have never ripped me off. The drivers have consistently been sensitive to me having my pets in their car as well when I need a ride to the vet. I would never use any other service:)\r more

My experience with Eastern was great. After vacationing in NYC, we called for a ride from Carroll Gardens to JFK just a few days before our return flight. We received a confirmation text within minutes. They texted us again on the day of our reservation to let us know what vehicle to look for, and to give us the driver's cell number. We were thrilled to find he'd arrived a few minutes early. Although he was unshaven and was wearing a scruffy white T-shirt, he was an excellent driver and very personable. The car was nice and clean (Toyota Highlander) and the ride back to JFK was very relaxing -- MUCH better than the death ride we had in a cab from the airport when we arrived a week earlier. He didn't do any crazy driving, and we enjoyed classical music all the way to the airport. The driver said the normal fare was $35, but it would be $45 for us because of all the luggage we had. I didn't mind as it was still a better deal than the crummy yellow cab. I would definitely call them again.\r more

Booked a 8 passenger limo months in advance for my wedding. They texted/emailed me to confirm which was comforting the day of. Enrique was awesome... arrived 15 minutes early, waited for us to get dressed and got us to the location in time. No minimum like other limo services. Took cash or credit card. Limo was clean and comfortable... perfect for what we needed! more
