Written 3/17/14 - \r The staff seems nice enough, but somewhat unprofessional, speaking to patients about medical problems in the lobby for others to hear, complaining about the computer system IT guy to me, (like I should care?) and talking more (chatting about last nights TV shows) to each other than, me the patients. \r \r My doctor told me I have high blood pressure and put me on some powerful Meds and told me to come back in 3 months for a follow up. I lasted 4 days and went back to find out why I could not get out of bed or stand up without passing out. She changed my Meds. I still don't feel right. \r \r I had my records sent to them from my Dr. back in Indiana. When I ask the doctor at East Valley Family Medical if they had received them, she did not know? She looked it up on her computer and told me they got them. Obviously she had never reviewed them? I am going to hang in for another couple test she wants me to have but I am not feeling the love, if you know what I mean. more

(Mesa Office)I had a scheduled Dr. appt at 11:45am. I didn't get out of that place until 2:05pm. On top of that, I am a diabetic. I scheduled my dr. appt because i didn't feel well & i had not been taking my medications as prescribed. Standard operating procedure is for ones vitals to be taken at the start of the appointment. Well my blood pressure & pulse was taken. 3 times I had to ask for my blood sugar to be checked. Again, I am DIABETIC!!! 3hrs later, when I finally got to leave the place after a bunch of waiting, some test & blood work, I STILL HADN'T HAD MY SUGAR TESTED! I was told by the doctor that she was expecting my sugar to be out of control & so they would just wait for my Hemoglobin A1c results to come back. HELLOOOOOO! If my sugar was 600 during that appointment, they would not have known. WHY?????? BECAUSE IN-SPITE OF THE FACT THAT I ASKED 3X FOR IT TO BE DONE, THEY NEVER CHECKED IT!!!!! I am going to file a formal complaint! I could have dropped dead! more

I been going there for 6 years and my doctor Thang Nugyen he was a nice doctor at first and on my last couple appointments he has been really rude he don't look at your face when he talks to you something wrong with him I'm very sick with high blood pressure and cholesterol and today I received a letter in the mail that he don' t want me over there no more to change clinics and I didn' t to nothing at all. Dr. Thang Nugyen needs medical help something is wrong with him people don' t pick him to be your doctor more

Like many people have commented. My family has been going to Dr. Steinke over 20 years and loved it when he had his own office. When he surprisingly joined this practice, to my dismay what a mess it turned in to. It took us a while to get used to the ""bring all your prescriptions to your appointment because we dont do refills over the phone or after hours"" crap. But because Dr. Steinke knows our history, we stuck it out. Last week, I called to make an appointment with him for refills. I was told he was out of town, but I could come in and see another doctor and get them taken care of. BIG MISTAKE. He changed the doseage and now I am without the most important medicine I need. I have spent the entire day calling that office trying to get ahold of someone who can fix this disaster for me. I started calling at 8:05 a.m. and continued throughout the day. At one point they said well, we are waiting for the M.A. to get the message to him. Come on, 7 messages and he hasn't recieved a single one. So we again call at about 15 minutes to 5. My husband stays on hold for about 5 minutes, then the lady says Dr. Steinke called the pharmacy and is waiting for them to call him back. Then she told my husband they turn off the phones at 5 and she promptly hung up on him. At the same time, I was on the phone with the pharmacy, and they said they had not received a call from the Dr. So at 5 til 5, my husband called again, trying to explain the importance of this medication and the fact that we have been trying all day to get it taken care of and she again, hung up on him. Now I am getting ready to go to the E.R. just so I can get medication to get me through the night. I love Dr. Steinke and have always been loyal. But I now know it's time for us to find a Dr. who is going to be like the old Dr. Steinke. Or at least someone who responds when you need them. more

I was going to begin service at East Valley Family Medical, as my girlfriend goes there. She had said they were generally very rushed, but I thought I would give them a try. After reading over the new patient forms I found that refills by phone, even from the pharmacy, were not permitted! Any prescription refill would require a doctor's appointment. Cons: No phone refills more

My children and I have been seeing Dr Steinke for almost 20 years. Through most of this time he maintained a private practice that was exceptional in every way. I have trusted him with everything from colds to recommendations for surgery. He really is a fabulous doctor that asks the right questions and listens to the answers. Pros: Dr Stienke is very direct with a great dry sense of humor Cons: I desperately miss his private practice and staff more

Dr. Steinke is new there but has been my doctor since I was a kid. He is very nice and gets right to the point. Pros: Large Waiting Room, Many Doctors Cons: Wait was a little long, my doctor was running late more

Actually had 2 visits to the office. Both times the Dr went on telling me about his marital problems, IRS legal problems, and his problems with his cadillac car. Pros: convenient location, only 20 minutes behind schedule Cons: incompetent, sometimes rude treatment more
