Best pockets! 6/13/2007

I had the chicken pocket - so good! Chicken was hot off the grill and everything tasted so fresh. Now that I work in the area, it will be a regular stop. Pros: Fast service, friendly staff, good value and flavors! Cons: line can be looooong more

My FAVE place ever... 2/27/2007

This is a place I used to eat at a minimum 4 times a week. I now live in Vancouver, BC, and I have never found a falafel that comes close. I took my Vancouverite husband there just before I moved, and he could not believe how amazingly fresh and just GOOD their falafels are. I miss chatting with all the guys, and even getting a wave if they saw me walking by. I have yet to find a place that matches it for food, and friendliness here in Vancouver. The best place to get a cheap, great-tasting meal in Providence. The service is friendly. They take pride in forging a great service relationship with their customers. I can't say enough about this landmark establishment. more

The food is really really good and the counter service is quick and friendly. The restaurant itself is small and crowded. It is a favorite for take-out among students and office staff nearby. more

I must say that this place is the best restaurant in Rhode Island! People all over the world say they have the best falafel and they sure do! The service is quick (even if the line is out the door), it's the cleanest restaurant I've ever been to (cleaner than my own house), the food's cheap and great (my fav's the dolma pocket-sometimes with gyro in it), and the guy that works there is so cute - the one with the red hair!!!! Pros: Inexpensive, clean Cons: there are none!!! more

East side pockets is great for lunch, dinner, late-night, ... anytime. The falafel is great and always fresh. The curly fries beat the regular fries by a mile. The various pocket sandwiches are a great value, though the salads are good too. Not too hungry or just want a snack? .. try the spinach pie or the grape leaves.
