Disappointed 3/13/2015

Its been about a year and a half since I came to this clinic and haven't gotten around to write a review until now. I'm still extremely upset with what my baby had to go through at this so called clinic. I originally went to my reg. vet but their X-ray machine was down so I had to bring him here. I thought I trusted the vet and I was desperate to get my baby feeling better He stopped eating and it had me very worried. on or first visit he was prescribed antibiotics something to induce his hunger to make him want to eat and some other rx to keep him from throwing up (Note: He wasn't throwing up his food, he just wasn't eating, not sure why this was prescribed.) They also did an X-ray to make sure he didn't eat something he shouldn't have but everything came out clear he found nothing. Then he was kept over night they gave him mineral oil to check and make sure that it was pass through and it did. Next he suggested an exploratory surgery just to take a look inside him which I went ahead more

its been about a year and a half since I came to this clinic and haven't gotten around to write a review until now. Next he suggested an exploratory surgery just to take a look inside him which I went ahead with still they found nothing except they said he had an enlarged gallbladder which could have possibly cause him to not want to eat but it wasn't certain This surgery needed to be done ASAP because my dog was getting really thin and I couldn't hold off on it any longer but Dr Bob had a vacation planed so he had to transport my dog to another vet to have this done then transported back after the other vet called to inform me of how the surgery went (Note: once my dog was done with surgery and transported back Dr. Bob would still be on vacation so there was only vet techs there very upsetting to me). After surgery they gave him more prescriptions that may possibly help his gallbladder I took him home it didn't help. He still wouldn't eat, so they told me to take him back in again and leave him so I did even though Dr. Bob still wouldn't be in the office, once again I was desperate and would do anything they said to help my dog. They medicated him more then hooked him up to Fluids I left him there for a couple of days and each day I would go visit him after work, he looked so miserable day one they had him on fluids the Tech told me they would keep him on fluids I though she knew what she was doing next day he was swelling up because I they left fluids hooked up to him over night unattended!! He was over filled with fluids and was swollen all over his face his legs and and pockets of fluid through his body I was very angry that this happen and asked them to stop the fluids(Note: To much fluid can kill your dog for those who don't know there lungs can become filled over time and its basically like drowning him). Dr, Bob came back later that day and tried to explain that it was normal but I can assure you that its not but he wasn't there to watch over him so i guess he had to come up with something to make it seem better it didn't work on me. The next day I wasn't going to leave him any longer I took him home with me. At this point my dog has done almost 2 months without eating and was extremely thin he was probably just hanging in there for me I love him so much. I knew it would be selfish of me to not let him go I tried everything I could I had him sleep with me at home then the next day I had someone come to my home to have him put down in my arms, I couldn't think of ever taking him into any other vet office again. May he Rest In Peace I will Never as long as I live ever be back in this clinic. I will attach photo of my dog after he had fluids as well this is unacceptable. I pray no one has to go through what I had to go through. more

Excellent and Affordable 8/27/2009

I've been taking my dog to East Lancaster Animal Hospital for the last year and a half - he was neutered there as a pup and been treated for skin and ear issues since. All I can say is these guys are great. The staff have no trouble handling Buddy, which can be a real challenge (he doesn't much like strangers touching him). He was up and running, good as new, the morning after his neutering operation. The skin and ear problems were each handled with a single visit. Each time I've been there, the charges were about HALF of what I have paid at other vets. I have recommended this vet to family and friends and never gotten a bad report. They might be the best kept secret in downtown Ft Worth. more

great knowledgeable staff 3/11/2009

I have found this clinic to be one of the more AFFORDABLE places to go. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and were able to handle my dog which can be aggressive when seeing the doctor. I would and have recommended this clinic to family, friends and co-workers. My dog used to have horrible ear infections that no other vet could "cure". Since going to this clinic, his ear troubles are now easily maintained, after 3 treatments with this "special" medicine. I did have to come back for rechecks but they were worth it since my dog has had this problem ALL of his life. more

Changed 3/7/2008

These guys used to be great. The original vet their retired though. The new vet seemed good and caring for the animals, but I felt he was gouging me by too many follow up appts. I have a lot of experience with vets and pets, and I have never had one that just keeps having you come back like this. And it was not just a one time thing. The girls on the staff are fantastic and almost made me stay with them out of obligation. But after over 10 years of a business relationship, I have gone elsewhere. more
