Decent sushi/sashimi, but far from the freshest or the tastiest. The rice was very dry, as if it had been refrigerated for a long time, hence, not fresh. Pretty expensive for what you get. The miso soup was not particularly generous with the tofu either. Just a small detail, but a telling one. more

East is very nice. They do a nice job and they do it with a smile. The sushi is fine, not spectacular or earh moving, its fine. The service is efficient and there is really nothing bad to say about the place. However, do not expect anything great other than the unique style of dining. The wait staff is korean and chinese while the sushi chefs are Japanese their sous and commis are South American. Their rolls are made by machine, so order special pieces from the chefs themselves- otherwise you get prefab sushi. Go on Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday as they have 1/2 price specials on Salmon, Tuna, etc. \r \r Nice for kids to see how sushi is made and they can try things out without breaking the bank. Hot foods menu is nice, but not very tasty.\r \r Don't get me wrong, this place is good, fast and affordable. Just don't be fooled by the other reviews, this is just simple sushi. This is a great place to try sushi in a new way.\r Very traditional Japanese style, the sushi goes around on a belt and you can just pick whatever sushi you are in the mood for,.which makes it a lot easier to be a bit more adventurous..\r Service is okay, if you are sitting at the bar, its really just serve yourself.\r I love this place.\r more
