EGGSL Great for the Girls Free softball Winter Clinics 9/27/2006

I am a parent and a coach in this league and I think that it is the best softball league in the area. I have been told by many other parents , how this league is so much better than Rensselaer or Averill Park. The volunteers for the board put in a great deal of time. There are Winter clinics for all the girls on weeknights at East Greenbush School gyms, The girls love the softball clinics ! As always there may be things that need improvement but that goes with anything. The registration fees are much less than other sports. more

EGGSL good for girls but unorganized 7/18/2005

The East Greenbush Softball league is a good thing for local girls. I played myself for years and years when I was younger. It has come up in cost- almost $100 now to play for just a handful of games. The problem this year was the lack of organization- we did not get a schedule until late on and then we would get moved from field to field. There were lots of parents around complaining as well. The schedule was crazy they would have 3 games in a row- or at 8pm on school nights. These kids are just 8 years old! Something to be considered! more
