Very professional 11/7/2011

I adopted a dog in August and the folks from Eastbrook handled the health checkup and neutering (someone from the hospital even came in after hours when I first found the dog so that they could try to locate the original owners). They were quite professional and I have gone back to purchase medications for the dog. I am pleased with their professionalism and will continue to use their services Pros: null Cons: null more

A Furry Friend's Best Friend 11/7/2011

I have two cats and a dog all of which are patients of East Brook Animal Hospital. I have an elderly cat currently being treated for hyperthyroidism and a dog being treated for seasonal allergies. Every time I bring one of them in to see one of the East Brook vets they are taken care of in the most compassionate and animal-friendly environment. I switched over to East Brook and couldn't be happier with the decision. Their prices are competitive and all of the doctors have my pets best interests at heart. I wouldn't recommend anyone to take their pets to anyone BUT East Brook Animal Hospital. Pros: null Cons: null more

NEVER take an animal here 11/5/2011

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I would like to know what type of veterinarian (Dr. Sarah. Fischer) would call her patients stupid and post all over facebook where she works and bad mouth the animals she is supposed to be taking care of. From the conversation I had with her she is not the only one at the hospital who treats the patients like they are less than somebody's family. She spoke of an internist who called a patient obnoxious. I wouldn't take a wild rabies infected raccoon here for care. Pros: null Cons: null more

Overall Satisfied for Many Years 8/24/2009

Mostly excellent, very caring vets, but they hire many new docs, so they have a fairly high turnover rate. Dr. Mitterling (moderators' spelling is erroneous, please double-check listings) himself seems to harbor a thinly-veiled dislike for cats, but we have found him very knowledgeable. Just ask for someone else if you're taking Puss for an illness. We've been taking our pets there off and on since the 1970's; we loved Dr. Pfeffer, who opened the practice. Started going back when closer location couldn't seem to get our hyperthyroid under control even with frequent costly testing. Charges are competitive for area. Would recommend. Note to Bethany: The cat's nipple was probably not yet inflamed on the day you took her to the vet; been there, had that. more

terrible 8/24/2008

my cat was seen here because she was acting sick 3 weeks after giving birth to 4 kittens.I was told she had an infection somewhere in her body. The next day my sister was over and we were talking about it.she was really thinking what could be wrong with he.one of her theories was an engorged nipple leading to mastitis how ever you spell it.about ten minutes later she went to try to get her to eat and instantly noticed a large swollen red nipple.my sister who just got her GED at27 was able to diagnose my cat when the day before the vet had no clue.i brought her back to the vet and they confirmed my sisters idea.they said take her home she should be good it will maybe pop but with antibiotics should be fin.today they amputated 2 f her nipples. These vets are negligent and only care if they get paid.for the sake of you own pet...GO ELSEWHERE!!! more

Always Available 2/22/2008

I have been using Eastbrook Animal hospital for my dogs and cats for over 10 years and have found them to be very responsive to my pets' needs. They always find time to fit me in, when there is a real need and return my phone calls promptly. Their hours are long, their staff is small but they stretch to the limits when it comes to an animal's well-being. more

WOW 3/17/2007

I just called because my dog had fallen yesterday and is having a hard time walking. When I called the receptionist said " well we cant see him today" even though I told her he was in pain, then I told her I have a normal vet, but because of the Icy noreaster we just had, I wanted to stick close to home, then she told me "Well we will need to have his records first". I guess I know where there priorities are!!! Im going to Manchester Vet today. more

Pet doctors 9/25/2005

Would highly recommend the vets at this animal hospital. Very caring, will spend time with you discussing your pet's problems. The fees for services and medications are reasonable, appointments are scheduled conveniently for working persons. more
