Company owners, John and Christine Thompson, were both born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. They lived for many years in the Seattle area where they were married over 40 years ago. When they moved to Orcas Island in 1972, their lives became entwined with the construction industry. John started at the "bottom of the ladder" as a laborer, working hands-on through all aspects of the trade. He became proficient in heavy equipment machinery, and then moved into management of an excavation company.
In 1997, John and Christine founded Earthworks Company, Inc. , on the premise that quality construction principles and attention to detail would be their unwavering standards. With Johns' 25 years of construction experience and Christines skills in bookkeeping and office administration, they soon established a reputation of quality and dependability.
Earthworks Company, Inc has grown into a full service operation including septic design and installation, septic repair, septic inspections and septic operations and maintenance. Also, on staff is a Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Lead for Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans.
